I am Maniaca's puppet nation. Due to circumstances, I changed Maniaca's password and took off the E-Mail address(see "Do you think anyone can help me here?" thread.). Now, however, my password seems to be gone/stolen. I've typed the password as well as checked for any typographical errors several times, yet I haven't been able to get in. Since Maniaca is a huge nation I've been playing since last February, I was hoping I could get my password back or something. I'm not sure how that would work. If I can't I was wondering if I could be ressurected after I died. I'm not sure how that would work either. Anyone that can help me?

Cannot help but I can say that the password you have problems with now.. will still be there when you revive the nation after it dies in 28 days of inactivity

Yes, I know. What I could do is telegram a mod with my E-Mail address and he could send me a password. Or he could telegram my password back. I think. The mods can tell that I'm Maniaca becuase I'm on the same IP(one of the only experiences I've had where IP scanning can actually benefit me). Now that I think about it, some smaktard could send a mod their E-Mail address pretending it was me, and they would get my nation, so that wouldn't work. The telegramming would, though, but the mods would have to trust me. I do believe though, that the mods can change passwords or the admin can because it's just like when you get the E-Mail. Really though, do you realize that my nation has over 2 billion people? Losing would be really annoying, and then being stuck with an 800 million nation like this. Logically, I would see that the mods can do nothing, but the circumstances I'm in cloud my vision and give me the delusion that the mods can actually be trusting. Of course, if it doesn't work, I can sit at my computer for days on end and type in every word in the dictionary, and then every slang term I've ever heard in my life.....sigh.

And secondly, there have been cases where a password was stolen through fraud and Sal was able to return the nations by verifying a recent change in IP address, but I don't know if the same thing could/would would be done here.

I was wondering if you were going to say it was probably your brother, Maniaca. I wish you the best of luck in retrieving your password.

If at helps at all to vouch for his identity, I've known Maniaca also owns Clownmackery for a very long time.

Password thievery seems to have increased in popularity lately.

Thanks PH. My brother swears it wasn't him, though I still hold him partially responsible for this becuase it was his actions that made me change my tried and true password and take off my E-Mail address.

Also, I've noticed no moderators have posted here yet. I should probably send something in the getting help page, huh.

I dont think the Mods will be able to help you on this one because I think that you have to prove that a nation is really yours for them to give you control of it and I dont know how you would do that when there is no E-mail address and you dont know the PW for that nation. I could be wrong though as I am not a mod.

An IP scan. They can tell that I'm on the same IP as Maniaca. And I have several people, PH included(Can PH tell a lie? I think not), who can vouch for me. I could be wrong though, as I also am not a mod.

Clownmackery, Actually, nothing by itself that you've listed is sufficient to verify your identity, however, I'm pretty confident that you are who you say you are. How would you prefer for this to be remedied? A new password can be sent, the password can be reset, or other options. I'm going to grab a GM for a final check, but there shouldn't be an issue with having your nation restored.

Thank you for those who have vouched for him. However, I do have one final question: Since you used the same email for both Clownmacker and Maniaca, why did you remove it from only one nation?

To answer your question, Maniaca is founder of a substantially large region, and it's much bigger than Clownmackery, so really, that was the only one my brother wanted to mess with. Also, I'm not truly sure that my brother knew this nation was me. If you could reset my password to something, and telegram it to this nation, that would be good, or if you want to E-Mail me my password, I can telegram you my E-Mail address.

Well it seems this is getting resolved anyways so this is a bit late, but in case it helps, I also have known Clownmackery is Maniaca's nation.

Please telegram me the email address, and the email address that you originally used for Maniaca.
