What is required for appointing a new founder?

I'm curious, if a region has lost it's founder for one reason or another, what sort of protocol is there for appointing a new one.

In the case of ours (hell) the founder was deleted by mods (I forget why), and now we have some terribly classless invaders making the place look untidy (they don't want to oppress us, or have decently evil flags or really be interesting at all) and evicting them could be more effort than it's worth.

So it seems that getting a new founder would help, but how does a region go about getting this to happen?

Thanks!

After having gone "rounds" with several Mods over the situation in our old region I think I can safely say that you can't have a new founder appointed, especially if your founder was deleted due to rule violations.

You will have to have everyone move out and then refound the region.

The best way to get a new founder is to have everybody leave the region, having the region deleted at server update, and then recreate the region.

The moderators have said that they will only grant a new founder in "extraordinary circumstances." The only one of these that I have seen granted is Europe.

Satan was deleted for spamming the General forum with polls, IIRC.

Realistically though that's never going to be feasible in any region with more than a few members.

Well, of course you're not going to be supportive now, are you?

Its not that hard to take that region back over. All you need is the commitment to make it happen and 18 players. And I even have a strategy whereby only one of them needs to be active at the time of the update and the action is still almost untraceable.

And Goob is correct about why Satan was deleted

I know two ways this is possible.

Seriously though, why is everyone's first reaction always to ask the mods? I mean, if you can't even make a plan to take your region back, frankly you deserve to be invaded. Especially with how difficult it is to be invaders with all the rules these days, defenders really do have the upper hand.

No sympathy.
