Please let me back in the UN

19-02-2004, 03:19
A while back I was ejected from the UN for having more than one UN nation. Actualy at the time someone gave me there nation before leaving the game and I forgot that it was also a UN nation...thus, I was ejected from the UN. After that I made sure to follow the rules and have made a UN puppet. I have been using the UN puppet (UN nation) for a while but sadly It has been really confusing lately and I cant serve my region as well. Thus, I am asking for this nation to be re-admitted(sorry about the spelling) into the UN. I promish that if I am let into the UN again I will have my UN puppet leave the UN. I just need comformation. Please consider letting me back in, I am not a bad nation, I was just a noob who made a mistake. Thank you for your time.

I am NOT a mod, but historically, the policy has been that once booted from the UN, a nation is not readmitted.

It has been really hard for me having to use a UN nation and this nation. I am just asking for a second chance.

what if I start a petition? And you can even check to make sure that I am not using puppets(although only an idiot would do that, lol). That seems fair.

My advice is to give up before you piss a mod off

i have never seen the mods re-admit a nation to the UN

If they want me to stop they can just kindly ask me too and I will

toored im with you on this one, but it seems the mods have made up their mind, and strangely, they dont really caere about making this game fair, or atleast for unfair sufferers like you - however i do understand that it is rather difficult to sort out accidental unners and purposeful, which is why this post is my last in regards to tooreds re-unship

thank you Moishe. I must say that this game would be even more popular if the MOD's were more fair. Infact, to be honest this is the only site I have been to where the MOD's aren't liked that much.

Speak for yourself, chuckles. The vast majority of us like what they do just fine. All you see is the soreheads here.

Most forums I've seen have backroom moderation, done via private message and email. These guys duke it out in public to give everyone a chance to appeal. Since there's almost always a loser in those sorts of battles, naturally they blame the mods.

People need to take responsibility for their own actions, and live with the consequences. You included.

give everyone a chance to appeal? If you ask me that isn't true. I respect the MOD's but I am just asking for one more chance. And there are others who also deserve another chance. For instance some nations are banned because they loged on, on a school server(I know of one). The MOD's need to realize that there are such things as technicalities(sorry about the spelling). Yet they never got to appeal, they were ignored. :x

They aren't ignored, it's just simply impossible to prove that what people say over the internet is true. Unfortunately, a few bad apples ruined it for the whole bunch, and the mods do not have the time nor the resources to personally try and make sure that the person on the other end of the keyboard is doing what they are saying about being logged into the same server as another UN nation or issues of the same nature.

Look, just play the game, drop the issue, and you'll be able to play NS. Otherwise, you're just going to anger the mods more, and continue to be DEATed for the offense.

Don't you think this is enough of a reason to stop? This is the game's rules, that the mods enforce. Why can't you just drop this and go back to playing the game?

toored unfortunately the technicalities are what kills us, damn technicalities. There are extreme cases, however since this is a very large amount of people involved, those cases may not be investigated throughly...you know that i have also felt like yourself, but you can't undo what has been done

The mods don't have to say stop the thread. The rule is clearly stated, you've been told. Why not back off to avoid DEATion? You're not going to win this battle.

I am standing up for the people who are to afraid to stand up but I will stand down if the MOD's tell me to. Thats all they have to do. Yet no MOd's have posted here for a while so until then I am continueing my fight and I urge all people in my case to come and share your story. The MOD's may not listen but I will. I feel for you! I am going to bed but once again. If an MOD tells me to stop I will, thats all they have to do.

If it's such a pain to use the two nations, then dump this one and just use the puppet.

Also, you said that if they let you back into the UN, you'd resign your puppet then. But, as I understand it, a person can't have two nations in the UN. So if you resigned your puppet first, then applied to the UN, there's the tiniest chance you'd have a little bit more luck.

I totally agree with Toored, it was an honest mistake. Havent we all made unintentional mistakes before? Sure we can argue about the technicalities. Or we can take action and do what is right. I suggest the taking action option.

Moderators, I have seen you delete nations that are not in the un, nor do they have offenisve mottos or titles. they were, lets say.. they disapeared in a puff of smoke.... I have a friend who has had no less than 15 of his nations deleted, and very few of them were in the un.

You wanted a Moderator response? Right. You're getting one right now.

Toored, you have been ejected from the UN for rule violations and you are not coming back in. Do not attempt to argue that there are technicalities here which somehow exempt you from the punishment, we have a team of highly dedicated and computer-literate Mods (and Modling) who, if there was a technicality, would have allowed you back in a long time ago.
You have been granted the right of appeal, which is a right you exercised by creating this thread. Your appeal has been turned down - which is something which will happen in many cases where appeals are made. The next step is known in the grief-management trade as "acceptance".
This is not, as Moishe tries to claim, a game in which the mods have made it "unfair". Rather, we are scrupulous in ensuring that those who play by the rules enjoy the fruits of the site. As for this ridiculous claim that there are many people who dislike the mods - well, let's just say that that is a claim made frequently by people who didn't get what they wanted ("There are many people who dislike the mods" and so on). People who actually abide by the rules tend to like the mods, since they have no reason to come into contact with them.

Now that you've heard the moderator response - the second on this thread, I might add - will you leave the issue alone?

Sorry to continue the thread, but I just to have to say... If your mental capacities do not allow you to easily operate two nations in a functional manner, your mental capacities are insufficient to be a member of the UN; or for that matter, to even be on a politically based game.
