The Republic of Admin UN Survey
Received: 14 hours ago Admin and the creators running a Survey looking at the characteristics of UN Delegates. Please a reply telegram and all replies are completely confidential.

1. Your favorite food

2. Your chosen password

3. Your nationality

Please answer as soon as possible

*************************************************************

I understand that the Admin would never ask for this information and such, I thought that people should be made aware of this matter.

I have posted a waring on the South Pacific Off site Forums and on the Regional Board as well, and will do so for the next few days.

I know that I could have gone to the getting help page, but I am hoping that maybe a few New Nations will read this and know that they should never answer any questions such as these.

Thank you for your time,

Respectfully,
The Queen of LadyRebels
Delegate of the South Pacific

Thank you Salusa, now I can rest easy...for a little while, but I will still post it on the boards, just in case.

and My Darlin' Loop, I know what you mean, just laughable that someone would think that Delegates in the Any of the NS Regions could or would be that stupid.....*shaking head* maybe a young Delegate, but maybe this will get the word out to them...*crosses fingers*

Actually, we can't see the passwords.
Neither would we create a nation solely to survey UN delegates.

It is none of my business but the curiousity gets me and I just have to ask.......how many people answered the TG and honestly at that?

On a serious note, good idea to notify the mods on that one.

Not 100% sure on that, and I doubt that either Max or [violet] would ever answer.

I would be willing to bet that the admin of the site could see/retrieve a password. After all, it's recorded in the database somewhere. You'd just need the proper administration rites/permissions on the host server.

I would imagine that passwords are encrypted in the database.

I would imagine that passwords are encrypted in the database.

Well, yes, but they're still there, and accesible. I doubt that being encrypted would slow down someone with admin rights on the server - they're the ones who set the encryption in the first place (one would assume).

SET UP! I knew Admin UN Survey. I know that it was a set up, to get back at an innocent nation (Admin UN survey) for damaging comments made at the way LadyRebels ran her region.

The Telegram was sent by LadyRebels to Admin UN Survey asking for it to be returned for 'technical reasons'.

'I thought that people should be made aware of this matter.'
'I know that I could have gone to the getting help page, but I am hoping that maybe a few New Nations will read this'.

Oh, please.

This Queen cleaverly desposed of a nation and even fouled the moderators. One day we will wake up and find we are playing LadyRebels.net and we will wake chanting:

Hail LadyRebels, Hail, Hail, Hail.

If my spelling is bad, it's because LadyRebels rewrote the Dictionary.

She might even grow a mustarch.

There are such things as one-way encryptions. Nothing short of brute force will work, and that's nasty.

[Sets a supercomputer to work for longer than the current age of the Universe to crack some random nation's password]

 Realises it might be more productive to sell it to North Korea . . .

What? I don't run the South Pacific Region, I am only the Delegate, and hello, people have said bad things about me before and the truth has always come out, as to knowing that Nation, if I remember rightly it only had a Population of 5 or 6 million, so how did you get to know it in a day or two? As to the Telegram, I don't know if I still have it, I do tend to get alot of telegrams....but I did state that the Moderators could verifiy it in my box, and they can verifiy that I never sent any telegrams to that Nation.......

I can't believe I answered this lie, but ya there you go, and have a nice day, whoever you may be....

oh one more thing, if I start growing a beard or a mustache, I am going to hunt you down.....

To clarify, you're welcome to discuss it elsewhere. Telegram people in your region, set up topics in an off-site forum, talk about it in your regional message board. Just don't bother with intra-regional political point-scoring in the Moderation forum. This is the forum where people explain that somebody's been impersonating admin or whatever, not the forum where people engage in point-scoring.
