Googlewoop Resigns in Protest -I WANT AN ANSWER MODS!

As most of you know a few days ago, in line with the strong belief of many nations that the United Nations had become a corrupt, sexually oriented, undemocratic morass only concerned with meddling with the internal affairs of member nations, I posted a proposal stating that the UN could only try to effect the laws of a member nation which effected other nations or had ‘direct global effect.

I threatened that this was my last attempt to civilize the UN and if it was unsuccessful, I would resign. Worse than not being passed, my proposal was deleted by the MODs. I received a lovely telegram stating that I should mind my own business (nice choice of words for a game moderator especially since this is the UN) and that I should not attempt to UNDERMINE the games structure. Of course, the coward was hiding behind his ‘The Game Moderators’ telegram address so I couldn’t even insult the authoritarian twit back.

MAY I REMIND THE MODs, that many of the first resolutions passes by the early members of the NS community (many of whom are now moderators themselves) were based on the same principles that mine was. BUT THEY WENT EVEN FURTHER! Aside from the multitude of proposals governing what a resolution could contain, I found one (entitled ‘Expedition of Resolution Votes’) that was actually passed (apparently the MODs think very highly of their OWN work) that didn’t just change the writing of a resolution, but the ACTUAL GAME MECHANICS THEMSELVES. Apparently we now have shorter resolution voting times because of a resolution.

NOW I DEMAND A RESPONSE FROM THE COWARDLY UPSTARTS WHO THINK IT FIT FOR THEM SELVES TO RULE THE NS WORLD!

I realise that most MODs do their job correctly and help make the NS community better but as for the few dictators flaunting their power, I suggest Max Barry, or whoever is in charge now rethinks their decision to convey extra power upon such simple selfish minds.

SO AS FROM NOW, as most of you will have guessed, I have resigned from the UN. The note I just received reads;

“You tell the United Nations that you are sick of participating in their corrupt and hollow debate. From now on, your nation is on its own.”

I know that this statement as well as the rest of NS is supposed to be in good humour, but as far as I’m concerned, this statement says EXACTLY what is on the minds of many of us at the moment.

Farewell colleagues.

AFTER NOTE: Soon I wish to create a region, the forum of which will be used as a system to replace the UN for any nations sick of it as I am. Anyone interested telegram me and keep an eye on the forums for news.

Honourable Tea and Coffee Anan,

We can understand your frustration of the unscrupulous and corrupt hypocrisy that is the United Nations. The UN is a sad attempt to promote international cooperation. The truth of the matter is that the UN is incompetent, useless, and those who honestly see the realizable potential in it will see that their efforts are in vain. Zeronia is not a UN member, has never been a member before, nor does it plan to become a member any time soon. There are a few organizations within the UN which Zeronia participates in as an associate member, however. Most are humanitarian, technological, or environmental treaties and organizations, which agree with our national and foreign policies. As for the General Assembly and applicable councils, we see these as pointless. It is difficult to have your voice heard, and it’s near impossible to avoid the UN infringing on your sovereignty. If what you say is true, I consider this an abomination. Certainly, this is just a testament to the UN’s inherent corruption.

The UN was created with good intentions. Unfortunately, the same could be said about some of history’s largest flops, and unthinkable tragedies. It’s powerless, corrupt, and only has an influence on those who naively relinquish their sovereignty to this puppet organization and its leaders who cower behind the banner of peace and cooperation. We are sorry that you had to learn this the hard way. Although we aren’t interested in participating, the Zeronian government wishes you luck with your regional organization.

And as such attempted to change game mechanics by proposal.

As the Mod who issued the warning, I take issue with this claim that the telegram contained anything remotely like what you say it did. Further, insulting people in response would merely compound the situation, which is something neither of us would want.
For anyone who is curious, the telegram actually read as follows:
Do not seek to curtail the functionality of the UN. This is a game mechanics issue.
That's pretty much standard-form for telegrams and contains nothing along the lines of what Googlewoop suggests.

MAY I REMIND THE MODs, that many of the first resolutions passes by the early members of the NS community (many of whom are now moderators themselves) were based on the same principles that mine was. BUT THEY WENT EVEN FURTHER! This resolution was passed before moderators were commissioned, therefore is hardly serves as a valid argument in favour of game mechanics resolutions. Had mods existed then, rest assured that it would have been dealt with in the identical manner to how yours was.

NOW I DEMAND A RESPONSE FROM THE COWARDLY UPSTARTS WHO THINK IT FIT FOR THEM SELVES TO RULE THE NS WORLD!
And you're getting one. Be careful what you wish for.

I realise that most MODs do their job correctly and help make the NS community better but as for the few dictators flaunting their power, I suggest Max Barry, or whoever is in charge now rethinks their decision to convey extra power upon such simple selfish minds.
