I have locked those threads. I do wish people would not post in spam threads, however.

No I don't think it is 'nuff' said. I protest the 'needing an expulsion' part of this thread in the strongest terms. I am aware of the rules and I am aware that now we have moderators to enforce the rules. I have made my position on that clear in the past-- I agreed with Sheol. They are here to stay and most players are satisfied. And yes, I may leave if I do not like it.
Vonners is not one of those players granted power to enforce the rules. I therefore find the "needing expulsion" to be unwarranted. It is simply not my, or Vonners' on any other regular players place to say and I find it just a little bit disturbing that regular players should be so quick to pass judgement.
If you will be so kind as to read this last part carefully: I am aware of the fact that the thread was a deliberate spam thread started by children with no intent to play the game. I know that. My point is, that expulsion is not my call, it is not gaspodes' call, nor vonners' and from anyone but a moderator, it looks to my eyes at least, rather meanspirited.
I also would point out that I posted in those threads and until doing so becomes a bannable offence I would do so again: I prefer the honest potty mouth of babies to the patronising cliches of many NS players. I find being called a fag less irritating then gems like: 'get over it it', or 'the French are becoming communist now' or, 'if you don't like than leave'. or 'liberal moron' or 'oh you capitalists...*wah*"
Aware that I am in a minority of one, and having said my piece (and I have done so without flaming) I shall leave it at that.

Hey Soviets. I posted my complaint in Vonners' thread rather than create a new one seeing as it related to the same thing. I wouldn't have asked for explusion - i mean the spam wasn't nearly as bad as some we have experienced. All i wanted was the threads locked and the nations told off - everyone deserves a second chance and as folk pointed out they were probably very young. Also the locking deals with the aggravating people   who were encouraging them by posting in the thread

Seeing as the orginators of those threads violated the terms of service that state they could be banned for that kind of thing I see nothing wrong in what I posted.
As for the Explusion ... that is my opinion based on the TOS. I do not have any power, I do not want any power and I really don't give a damn if you have a problem with this.
Spamming like that needs to be nipped in the bud as quickly as possible, otherwise you will find nothing but spam on the first page, if not the first two pages, and given the server issues it is damaging to the performance of the website.
Spamming is not 'harmless'. It actually costs in terms of performance and also has an effect financially. How? Well when you loook at provisioning bandwidth you estimate your traffic based on a number of factors. One of these factors is the amount of traffic you are generating. If a there is spamming then you are making provision for a bandwidth that takes into consideration these spammers.

Expulsion is not the decision for any player to make, however, it IS the proceure for players to bring that kind of garbage to the attention of the Mods, who are unable to sift through every thread in existance.
As for posting in those threads... those annoying kids are doing it for attention, pure and simple. If they get attention, they will continue. If they don't, they will eventually get bored and go away. It's that simple.
