Lock? Is that the current euphemism for delete the offender, delete offensive postings, and lock threads. I think these idiots are trying to get themselves noticed at the expense of the MODs. Just more work that the MODs really don't need.

Locking a thread means making it impossible for anyone to post in it to further the trouble it causes.
Even if these idiots are trying to get attention, they are breaking the rules, and it is the mod's duty to enforce the rules. Unfortunately, people will always break rules and the mods will always be there to clean up after those people.
