Sometimes the server eats threads. Usually (like this one), they resurface after a minute or two. In the future, just be patient.

If you feel that a topic is important, you might want to save a copy of the webpage to your hard drive.
I would suggest (as an alternative) saving the posts (with UBB code) from such a topic, as the text alone would take up less space, but this would require you to access lots of pages from the forum (and we all know how the forum behaves).

actually, one thread i was involved in that was "eaten" by the server still hasn't surfaced. quite frankly, i've become afraid of the server.
