Is swearing in another language okay?

Okay, I'm prety sure that it's not and that I shouldn't even bother asking, but is it okay to post swear words in non-English languages (as part of RP's, not just posting random swear words)

If it is then I have some really good ideas for future stuff, but if it isn't (and I'm pretty sure it isn't) then no big deal

Just a question in what you mean-

Swearing as cussing at people? Or in showing frustration at something?

In the scope of RolePlaying, swearing (as long as it isn't excessive) is generally allowed.

Switching to another language to flame someone is not allowed.

And before anyone says "I can flame in foreign languages and you can't stop me", I wouldn't be so sure.

And just a note to all those japanese animation fanatics out there...

Don't even think of trying to flame somebody in Japanese. I'm relatively fluent in Japanese cussing (being as I am an otaku myself), and I have ways and friends capable of translating the rest.

I make no claims to understand much, if anything, about Japanese culture, and even less of the language. (Though I fully intend to correct this situation once I've got the free time to start taking classes and putting more time and effort into studying both.) I know enough to handle 'japanaphile otakus' (and I'm very much aware that 'otaku' is not exactly a complimentary word to call someone in Japan.), which is what I was trying to get across. I know the basic 'bad words' one can glean from watching way too much anime subtitled, and I'll not type those words here, lest people get the idea to start using them.

And sheesh, one would be inclined to think that people would have the decency to be flattered, or at least polite about baka otaku gaijin who prefer Japanese cartoons to their American counterparts.

Nah, gaijin are all scum.

Of course, American students there are also gaijin, but why let hypocrisy get in the way of a good bout of mod-hatin'?

Ah-heh. Right.

A friend of mine spent a year in Japan teaching Conversational English, and was often refered to, to his face, as a "filthy gaijin". He even had store clerks refuse to sell products to him because he was American. Note that this included lying about the existance of said products.

Now this, is a flame. You're warned.

Wonders why KCE posted the names as such.

Neut, Stephistan, Quaalochra, Basenji, etc...

Quote me to see how I did it. Now, I think that is a much better way of posting covert messages.

I know, I was referring to the color of the text. The only reason most discrete messages are seen is because the color is not changed.
BTW, the forum thread colors are EFEFEF (whitish one) and DEE3E7 (bluish one).

Uh-huh. I'll keep that in mind.

Of course, I'm not sure why you're saying things in Japanese to me. I never claimed to understand it.
