Question on foundership

Hello, and my apologies if I should have gone to the "getting help" page

I was just wondering if there are criteria for determining if a nation should be granted foundership in a currently founderless region?

We don't grant Founderships except under exceptional circumstances, the definition of "exception" being solely at our discretion and on a case-by-case basis.

Get everyone to leave the region, and once it's empty, it'll expire at the next update and you can refound it. That's really the only way to get a founder nowdays.

(Argyres' puppet, who this was about)

Ok...some of my members are inactive so i'd rather not kick them out. I'll see what I can do. Thanks! :)

Yes, and since you brought it up, kicking inactive people from the region in order to refound it is illegal. Only founders can clear a region in that matter (which sort of defeats the point). It's a pain, I've gone through the process more than once myself.

Thanks for the help. Looks like I'll have to resort to bribes then

Sorta on topic: Would it be OK for a delegate to lock the region without giving anyone the password and wait for all the inactives in the region to die?

Not a mod, but my opinion: if you t-grammed the password to the inactives, it probably would be ok.

Sorry to bother you again, but if I wanted to apply for foundership of Greece, should I do so here or in the getting help page?

Sorta on topic: Would it be OK for a delegate to lock the region without giving anyone the password and wait for all the inactives in the region to die? This is the method that is used for refounding regions, so.... yes. And I'm not a mod, but it doesn't seem like telegramming the password is necessary (those rules only apply to invaders, I believe).

Iasonia - what I've been attempting to say in this whole thread... mods no longer give out foundership status. Cogitation just said exactly this. If you want to be founder of Greece, ask everyone to move out, wait for it to expire, and then refound it. I'm aware that this is a major pain ;)

As far as I know, you do have to let the nations in the region know the password that you set the region to. I, personally, haven't in my region, but that was only because of an agreement made with the 8 other nations in my region. (Although I am setting up a way of easily informing them right now as I get their email addresses)

Since this is a widely used practice (for a delegate to password the region and not distribute it to every member of the region), I'm fairly positive this only applies to invasions.

However, as there is doubt, now would be the time for a mod answer. *coughs loudly*

Do it on the forums, or telegram the delegate/founder.

Neither will work, though, Bas. Asking to be made the founder of somewhere won't get you made the founder of it - seeing as we don't appoint 'em anymore.
