multiple computer user which were expelled from the un

i feel that it is only just that we should go against the UN and if the UN wants to be a prick i have not got a problem with that and i feel that we need to undermine there authority and establish a international group of our own and one of the few membership rules should be that you can not be a member of the UN. leave a message and we can all set up a more powerful international group and eventually the UN will have no choice but to except us as honest nations in our own right who have no choice but to use the same computer as another nation

The rule which says it is illegal for multiple nations to be controlled by one player / computer is to avoid cheating: players with bad intentions would play as multiple UN nations pretending to be a group of siblings, friends, a family, or even a whole school class.

This rule isn't so much a UN rule, as it is in fact a game rule. Without it, this game would likely be overrun with cheaters and any voting done (be it towards resolutions or delegateship of a region) would be rigged. In other words: this is a very important rule, required to maintain playability of the game.

If you have a suggestion of modifying the game rules in a way that would not destroy gameplay, please say so. Merely discarding the rule you speak of would in my opinion be quite disastrous.

My school has gotten by quite well with several people running UN nations. Either we haven't been noticed by the anti-multi program, or logging in other places (i.e. home) has tipped the program off as to who we are.
Other than that, I heard talk or rather, saw type about the program recognizing a legit .edu address. Not sure what actually happened with that.

Yes, the mod's say that they give a fair bit of extra leeway to .edu addresses (or the cheat-scan does).

What about people who do NationStates at home, but have only one computer? For example, both my brother and I have nations, but we only have one computer. Does this mean that we could get in some trouble simply for using the same computer? (Just curious. )

This has been mentioned before. Yes, it does. You and your brother should pick one nation only to get UN membership. Otherwise you risk deletion.
