I tried to post this on the Tech section but I was not able to get to the forum for some bizzare reason. Hence I posted this here.

I try to look at this thread and I get the 'no posts for topic' message.
Can this be dealt with?
Many thanks for your time.

Yeah, that happens sometimes. It's a bug. When someone deletes their post, it leaves a ghost of itself. This "ghost" can make it look like there is a new page on a topic, when there really isn't. Just go to the page right before it.

Bas is right. There is a sort of phpBB mismatch, my vague and possibly flawed understanding of which is as follows:
The database records the number of posts in a topic and their position. When posts get deleted, for example double posts by players, or double posts or spam posts by Mods using the manual deletion method, the posts disappear but the database entries remain unchanged. Hence if the database thinks that a topic is 7 pages long and there are 3 posts on page 7, and 5 posts have been deleted during the life of the thread, page 7 will appear but clicking on it will result in that error message. Similarly, if you try to click on a link to a post that is no longer there. We are not using the best version of phpBB here.
