I'm still getting to grips with things... but I'm more of a semi-GM. I wanted to stay a forum mod, but this is the only way of getting a shot at editing issues. :wink:

I'm not sure whether I should congratulate Sirocco with the 'promotion' (now earning twice as much as before! 2*$0 = $0), or give my condoleances for being burdened with added responsibilities and more player scrutiny.

Yep, I'm still a Forum Mod, and will be for a while. We have so many GMs, there is really no point in having any more. And in any case I have exams and can't handle the extra responsibility. At least now we can look forward to having new issues. Including, hopefully, one of mine. ;) I should de-holiday a couple of my nations anyway, it's been 5 weeks and I am a bit out of touch.

I had assumed that with TG and Siro keeping the forums so neat (the GMs do a lot, but on average, FMs seem to do a better job of it than FMs, do to having fewer respnsibilities), they wished to keep at least one of them an FM, so that the forums stayed clean when the GMs were busy in the center or with griefings and major in-game incidences (which is when we seem to have trouble with the trouble on the forums, if my oservations are correct.

TJ seems only to moderate RP, which means that they would leave one of the more general purpose FMs as an FM

That way we do not get more "Since the mods seem to have a bit of trouble keeping the forums clean, what about making me a mod. I promise that I'll do a good job." (only with attrocious grammer and a sickening tone) Plus the forums are not overloaded during in-game catastrophe.

TG's explaination, of course, makes a lot more sense than my assumption.

Actually, you're not wrong. It would have led to a bit of an imbalance. As you say, some of the GMs do at least as much forum-modding as we do, but if you end up working on an endless Game task, it eats time. Someone has to keep lurking . . . ;)
