Asking for reinstation into the UN

10-01-2004, 01:14
Tremalkier long ago, about May or June, was banned from the UN. Now this has an history that I shall no explain.

I came to this game in early February, as can be seen by my founding date. Soon after joining, I introduced my friend Ben to this game. He created the nation Leo Tolstoy XVIII. Now at this time I was on much more than him, and he soon did very little. However, we both were in the UN, and after a few months I logged in a few times from school. Ben did the same.

This, as could be expected upon re-analyzing the situation, soon ended with both of us banned from the UN. Soon after this happened, Ben quickly made a post on the Moderation board, and I replied to it as well to voice my grievance about the unwitting actions that had gotten me and him banned. Unfortunately, nothing ever came of it, and I never saw nor heard from a Mod about reinstating me, or anything. Perhaps I didn't look at the thread often enough, or perhaps it was something else entirely.

Soon afterwards Ben got bored of the game and left. Yet I still remained, and I couldn't rejoin the UN. This has never been a problem up till now. Recently my region has undergone a couple of controversies and problems, that have landed with opposing factions, including the current delegate. Myself leading the other side, has been asked from certain supporters to take up the delegateship, as our side is the more numerous.

Unfortunately, I am banned from the UN and cannot do so, and none of my supporters is enough of a leader in this to take up that mantle themself. So, with this full history posted, and another posted nearer to the time of the actual banning, I ask that I be reinstated to the UN. Thank you for your time.

(Side Note: I also asked about this on the getting help section, but I fear I must have used the wrong option, as I never was replied to, nor did anything else happen. I waited for around a week to put this here.

Secondly, only moderaters or former mods need respond. No offense Basenji or other Mod forumers, but I'd rather keep this small, and just talk with the Mods. Thank you for your help.)

Thats about the only response your going to get from Neut, so maybe I can enlighten you.
If you were using two UN nations with the same IP address, that is UN multying.
That is expressly forbidden in this game.
If that was the case, there is no chance the mods....especially Neut, is going to let you back in.

If there was some other reason for it, and you cant find help here....and you present your case in a very polite manner, you might get some help from a Tech Mod.

But....very rarely.....( in fact i can only recall one occasion) where the desicion was reversed.

So..if you were guilty of UN multying..forget it.
It doesnt matter if it was actually two people with different nations..theres no way a mod can know that.

I hope that clears it up for you......Neut should have gone into a bit more depth...but maybe he's already told you no before?

I must say having a January 04 tell a Feb 03 the rules is quite amusing. And no, I didn't multy, as I don't invade regions. I've never had a reason to have multiple, and only have decided to try and get reinstated now that I have a reason.

As things stand now though, if Tremalkier itself cannot rejoin, I'll just make a Tremalkien Delegate nation. If you can't win one way, might as well do what you need to another.

Sorry for hijacking, but I might as well ask my question ( TO THE MODS ONLY!!!)here where the topic is appropriate.

**************

Me and Mallberta were both banned a very long time ago becuase I would log into his nation to keep it active. We were both in the U.N, and we got banned. We both explained this and eventually got reinstated.

Now, here's my question:

Can a U.N nation simply log into the account of another U.N nation and not get deleted? My cousin Arrogant Uber Geniuses left NS awhile ago, and he we both are in the UN. I recently logged into his account and resigned from the UN for fear of this. Is there a way for the mods to determine if someone is "multying" just to log in and keep an account active, or must they commit an offense (multiple endorsing) first?

I am asking this for clarification, because I already made AUG resign for fear of deletion.

When we check UN cheat scans, we dont just look to see who's logged in. We also view other bits of evidence that I'm not going to describe. Lets just say that if you've been ejected from the UN for multying, there was sufficient evidence of such activity.

Can you stage a coup d'etat, you mean ? of course you can. If you leave your "identification" and "passport" lying around (or if someone can get it by any means possible) then they can stage a coup and you might find yourself stateless when you return. Happens.

Is there a way for the mods to determine if someone is "multying"

They (the major powers) have satellites that can read the number plate off a car. I suppose they'd be able to.

Well considering my nation and my friends were total opposites, his a liberal socialist, mine a conservative capitalist, and our nations going to different regions following our initial couple of weeks in the same region, desperately trying to get other friends to join the game, I guess maybe something might look like multying. Though this was so long ago I don't know how many of the Mods today were Mods then.

I just want to clarify something, here:

There's no need to keep a nation alive. We Game Mods have the power to resurrect dead nations. The only thing you need to hold onto is either the nation password OR the nation E-mail (the automated "forgotten password" function sends a new password to your E-mail account).

Turn on "Vacation Mode" in your Settings if you know you're going to be away for a while. This gives you 60 days to log in again before the nation gets auto-deleted.

If you're going to have a friend keep your nation alive, anyway, then remove yourself from the UN first.

Follow these tips and you should be fine.

Also, do not log into your UN nation from someone elses computer. Do not allow someone else to log into their UN nation from your computer.

I've been here longer than you have, I know this stuff already. I was asking for clarification to a question that was for TO THE MODS ONLY!!!

Um....you forgot to quote the rest of the question. Again, when I say "MODS ONLY", I mean it.
