Porn Spamming?
Me and my son both enjoy going on this site, and on this forum. But earlier this morning I saw about 15 PORN THREADS. What's going on here? It was the most disgusting thing I've ever seen in my life. I'm starting to doubt the quality of these forums in general, what are you people doing to stop these retards? I'm sorry, It just bothers me.

I'm sure administration is doing their best to take care of these sickos'. Nonetheless, I was rather concerned by these threads myself.

There are many Mods who patrol the forums for stuff like that. They'll nuke porn on sight. This is no guarantee you'll never see it, but know that they do act against it, generally swiftly too.

Indeed. If you see such threads (if it's three or fewer threads), then post a new topic here in "Moderation" with the URL (or URLs) of the offending topic(s) and we'll nail it(them) as soon as one of us gets online and logs into NationStates.
If it's many threads (say, 4 or more), just tell us which board it's on; we'll probably spot them quickly enough if they all have the same title.

Well, that's what the moderators are here for. That stuff was gone almost immediatly after being posted, and I am happy about that. While I didn't actually see it (thank God), I've heard it was horrific. The same was true of earlier today when some people made the accounts, "1 Infinite Loop Sucks", "Max Barry Sucks", and "Max Barry Haters". Again, the moderators acted accordingly. I've got to wonder if these have any conection to one another though.

Indeed, porn spam tends to be dealt with pretty quickly. As has been said, if links to the affected threads are posted here in the Moderation Forum, the material in question will be removed as soon as a Moderator sees it. Sometimes this takes only a few minutes, but if no Mods are online, it will take a bit longer. We have pretty good coverage though, this sounds very much like the exception, and not the norm.
