A few hours ago I applied to join the UN with one nation.
I havent clicked the "Join Now button"
Instead...Id rather join with this nation.

I applied to join with this nation as well...

If I only intend on joining the UN with this nation.....not the other..I should be fine right?

It wont be seen as multying will it?

When you apply to join the UN, an e-mail is sent to the address you supplied with that nation. There is a link in the e-mail which makes the nation a member. As long as only use one of the links (and make sure it's for the right nation), you'll be fine.

Yep, Backwoods Squatches was deleted yesterday. This is another incarnation of the same, I believe.
