When [violet] returns, can you please add "Modalert" to the censor list and change it to something like
"I am a really annoying person who doesn't seem to get that Modalert was useless before the keyword search was removed, and now it's just a pain in the neck!"
or something...
...because it really is the most annoying thing, and should be counted as spam.

Very simple:
If someone breaks the rules, have one person post it in Moderation.
And no flogging dead equines.
Yeah... the ModAlert thing is doubley annoying now.
Replace it with 'n00bALERT' on the word censor

I dont see why all the alerts couldnt be confined to a single thread, maybe one per forum.
Sticky them and then you wouldnt have to see mod alerts of various descriptions on the first page, as you do now.
I think they serve a function though, this way , certain forums, dont really need to partolled as vigilantly (well gameplay anyway) because everything gets reported and the mods dont need to look for it.

I second that. When we had the search function, it served a purpose. Now we end up with half a dozen Modalert tags on a thread, Modalerts in this very forum, even a nation called ModAlert for god's sake. Please, make it stop . . .

What I try to do is post a "ModAlert" in this forum and then post the ModSignal in the thread in question to notify others that it has been modalerted on in this forum.

As a non-RP lurker, it amazes me how few people read the ModAlerts before posting one...I mean, c'mon; if "n00bspammer" starts showing his/her arse in a thread, there are plenty of folks that seem anxious to pull the trigger.
It isn't that hard, folks...read before sounding the alarm. Make the Mods' jobs easier.
