Enodia Drops Bombshell

01-01-2004, 04:23
No no, I haven't lost my mind and started RPing in the Moderation forum. What I have done, however, is temporarily stepped down from being a Mod.

Every year, I try to re-assess where I'm heading in life. This year, it seems as though NS will need to take a back seat to other objectives. Being a person who sets high standards for his work, I cannot in good conscience continue to moderate here while I focus on other projects.
Hopefully, this absence will only last a few months while I work out where I'm going. It'll be weird, though, not logging on to NS and having my name in green anymore.
I guess that what finally tipped me towards this decision was the JARROS business. Not only did arguing with him leave me drained, it also caused me to have a much shorter temper off-line. As I'm sure you can all agree, this online universe we have here is great fun, but it can't intrude that far into the off-line world.

I'll still be around on NS, though. Chances are that I won't visit the forums all that much, but you can drop me a telegram any old time. If you're especially nice, I might even give you my Email address.

So, until we next meet.

I hope all goes well, and I hope you don't disappear. I shudder to think of another JARROS-like incident without you here to beat sense into all present.

I can understand you there, it's always best not to let things on a game affect your personal life too much.
I wish you good luck in finding new direction purpose in life, and I hope you can get back to being a mod soon :)

Best of luck to you in the real world, my friend. You were a great mod, and I hope to see you back in Modding soon. I'll miss you. Don't forget us when you're in real life! :)

Wow. Good luck, Enodia! Very understandable. Have a good break from modding, and Happy New Year. We'll be happy to welcome you back to Modhood upon your return. Hope we'll still see you around in your civilian clothes. :)

Awwww good luck to you Enodia! You'll still be green though won't you? Slag's still shows up as green on my screen when he is on. Or maybe mods see something different when they log on and I am just babbling about something I know nothing about...lol. Anyway...again, good luck.

I'm considering trying to get Canada-Germany's permission to put an entry in the factbook asking that everybody endorse him.

I'd just resign this nation from he UN if it wasn;t that the next delegate would be both weaker (I'm the only one with every UN meber in the region endorsing me) and L.i.e.

Does Cog accept reports of inappropriate proposals by telegram?

Hope life treats you well.

Slag... Enodia... it's all falling into place. Soon there won't be any mods left and I can assume complete and utter power over Nationstates. well, except for [violet] and maybe [dread].... wait... there is [reploidproductions]... crapshite. I'll just become an administrator and then assume absolute power... don't really know how though.

With the hopefully only temporary departure of our great UN mod Enodia.. I will pick up some of the slack though rest assured. It probably won't be until after the baby is here though. I have cut my moderation duties by quite a bit until after the baby is born.

However, I do believe I understand the UN better then any one else except for Enodia and would be remise if I didn't help out. So, you will still be able to count on me.

As well, please feel free to send me telegrams with proposals you wish me to take a look at. I don't mind. I will try to become close to as great a UN mod that Enodia was/is.

My true hope is that Enodia has a nice needed break and decides to return to us soon. Losing him is a great loss to the mod squad and to all of the players of NS.

I recall one day, in my distant memory, when I had to do something called "sleep."

It involves something called "dreams" in which infamous ex-nations are mods. And it lasts for hours that was the worst idea that the nice person in the white suit ever had.

Heh. That's pretty freaky. The only NS related dream I ever have is living in my nation, but not as leader. I get taken away to a re-education center after I get caught listening to a prohibited musician and I try to escape.

This is indeed a sad day. You have a way of being reasonable that should be emulated throughout the Mod-squad. I respect your decission and wish you all the best in getting your life back on track. If I can be of any assistance, in any way, all you need to do is ask.
