The image must be in JPEG (.jpg) format, 107x71 pixels in size, and no larger than 6KB.
So what you are saying is, size DOES matter?

The only solid dimension cut-off on flags is that they must be under 6KB. Flags with dimensions other than 107x71 which are under 6KB are not automatically rejected.
However, anything larger than 300x200 is annoying to most people. It might be in your interests to change it, although strictly speaking your flag is sort of acceptable.

I thought few people used anything below 1152, let alone 1024 horizontal. I can't imagine what it must look like with that resolution. :?

I have a crusty old 14" monitor. It can only display a maximum of 1024x768, and that resolution gives me a migraine :P
