To answer the question more sensibly:
That would depend on the activities of this "club". If it deteriorated into personal attacks of "<player> is very ugly" or tried to break other rules, then yes it would be illegal and DEATable. If it were just an alliance of sorts (a la GDODAD etc etc), then there'd be nothing wrong with it.
