Worthy cause, wrong forum. Although I do worry it will be buried in General.... :(

Maybe a sticky? I know its not Game related, but by God its for a worthy cause.
I know, I know, but as Goob said it will get buried.

Well, I'll keep bumping it and hope the mods will grant me immunity seeing as it's a worthy cause...

CAREFUL! I was just looking round the site and clicked on a link (Pax something......I'm not going back) and got a bug which shut me down. I'm gonna run a complete test now. CAREFUL!

Just run a complete anti-virus and all clear, I think a bug was killed when the system went blue. I ran Adaware and there were a few nasty 'data-mining' cookies which I've deleted. For anyone not clear, data-miners follow you around the web and record what sites you visit, so's companies can bombard you with ads, based on what your web interests are. My advice, clean 'em out now. I'm sorry, it seems a worth-while site too.

And (I was using either Firebird or Mozilla at the time, being logged into several nations at the same time), and it told me that it had blocked a pop-up. Naturally, it was a charitable site, so I unblocked it, and it was one of the mst annoying adds that I had ever seen, not part of the charitable site at all.

Still until today, I'd never seen a pop-up blocker in action before today, so I suppose that I'll manage.

How do you clean out the data mining cookies?
