A question (mod related, of course)

If someone griefs a region, is it set back to the way it was?

Submit a report via this page (http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/index.cgi/page=help) and those gracious mods will pass judgment and hopefully help you out

I did. Just wondering if that's what happens if it is chosen NOT in the griever's favor.

Any passwords will be removed, the griefers deleted or banned from the UN, and possibly a founder appointed. That's a big 'possibly' though.

Well, I was actually the one that did the griefing. Now, now, put that gun away, it was an accident...

I was trying to clear it, but I guess I violated some rules. I received complaints after I did it, but before I could undo it, some other guy remade it. He was earlier ejected from the UN for griefing the same region. So does that mean that it will be restored to the way it was?

Erm, I'm not sure about that. A mod would have to look into it.

i think that's a case of tough luck, better luck next time..

someone was faster than you recreating the region, well, that's the risk you take..

There's already been a getting help report filed about this incident, by Corinthe. I'm pretty sure the mods ruled that it wasn't griefing in the other thread. That brings me to my next point.

This isn't a duplicate thread. It's similar, but as similar as identical twins. They look the same, but are they? No! Anyway if I did it, and I admit to griefing, I think that it is. Well, at least, I'm "pretty sure."

If you admit to griefing, it will probably be reset, and you will probably be deleted.

Edit: I thought that I could get away with a quick spelling edit, but mt d--n slow computer slowed me up.

Hey, I've already said I was unaware that it was against the rules to do what I did. But I accept all consequences. Ignorance is no excuse, after all. May The Lord be with me...

That is a very mature attitude.

I'm suprised, as many rule-breakers that I speak to deny it and attempt to hide about.

As many of these cheats are still around I hope that you are spared.

or he's just admitting it, because he wasn't fast enough to recreate it, and wants another try..

He did say that he will accept the consequences.

The consequences could (potentially) be IP banning, and no intentional griefer in their right mind would risk an IP ban over annother try at annexation.

Edit: Especially when they are warned that a possible outcome could be their deletion AND the region remaining as it is.
