It's not against the rules :P

It's probably no more illegal that it is to have the name DEAT or GORT

GORT.

Scolo's version of DEAT/Modbomb/Deaden etc.

Was does the acronym DEAT stand for, anyways? I know it's when a nation gets deleted, but where do those particular letters come from?

As I understand it, it was a typo of "DEAD" which Neut then adopted.

You might have gotten "DEAT", but I got Modbomb and Deaden (and G0RT, GORT being an ex-nation and DEATion).

Quantity has a quality of its own. :P

You Siro, btw, DEAT?

Your first post sounded somehow Sirocciod, and he loves the "8)" emoticon.

You second sounded more Goobergunchic or Corinthal.

Goobergunchia and Corinthe is how you spell it.

And I used the emtion because my main nation doesn't really use it ever. By know you'll know who I am because this is how my mind works. No more secret. :(

Of course we also tend to thing very similarly.

Qaaolchoura

Or the Basenji, but as he just posted. . .(could be trying to throw me off).

So it is not Siro, not Goober, and not Corinthe, and they have a sense of humor, and know me fairly well.

Reploid and Salusa are slight posibilities, Bas is more likely, could be Crazy girl.
Deat

At least your on the right track. I'll just tell you if you keep it quiet. If you want to know, tell me and I'll PM you.
Qaaolchoura
14-12-2003, 04:50
Hmm. . . Reploid is on and does act like that, but I am probably flattering myself to hink that it is her.

Hack and Enodia are the other mods aside from Siro whom it is not, and Salusa and Cog who are not as . . . intricate. . . with their jokes as this, and Stephistan, whom I do not know particuarly well.

Enodia is the one who was most recently on, but more likely it is a player.

Crazy girl is a possibility, but I think that it is more likely Bas.

*waits for newest DEAT response to load*

On the other hand, Loop might use "PM", but he aint been on for hours.

Narrowed down to Crazy girl I think. If not then I'll have to retrace my steps.

I think that you're likely right.

I was looking at the times, and they did seem to correlate pretty well.

And the post style is Reploid-sounding.

Of course if it is Reploid it means that I can't promise not to reveal it to find out and then reveal it, unless I wanna wake up modbombed.

Kinda ironic, in that case that 'twas I who got the name "modbomb" on a puppet.

It's quite easy to disable sound on mIRC.

There's also Peng-Pau's IRC applet on page 4.

I downloade mIRC, then noticed that it was shareware, then downloaded what I'm pretty sure is freeware from the site with the fist, but windows can't read the ".dms" extenstion, so I went to irssi but they have two files with two even weirder extentions.

Can you please give me a link to a freeware download for windows XP(this is probably the problem) and tell me exactly what to do?
Peng-Pau

Ok, just go to this page (http://veratien.ksilebo.net/ns/irc/chat.php) and fill in the form. If the applet loads, all is well, if not, install Java (http://javashoplm.sun.com/ECom/docs/Welcome.jsp?StoreId=22&PartDetailId=j2re-1.4.2_03-oth-JPR&SiteId=JSC&TransactionId=noreg) first and install it, then that applet will work. It's a lot easier to use than mIRC.

Software pirates evil. :P

I have Asperger Syndrome, and hence am psycologically unable to pirate software (unless it is from a huge corparation and even then I only have one pirated program, which I never use), or not read the TOS, (even though all TOS except for the NS TOS are identical) . :(

Either I'm doing something wrong, or I don't see why anybody would care to use IRC.

I'm using IceNet and I think that I have it mostly figured out, but, how do I register with irc.esper.net channel: #nationstates_general? :?

When I go to http://irc.esper.net I get a webhosting service, and registering on channels is not in the IceNet FAQ.

He's worried about hackers which is why he put it up, and he wouldn't set it so that I can use my computer as a webhost, so why would he do it to allow me to use a chat program?

Interesting, 4 pages and still no answer here as to his name being allowed ( WTF, mods have a life?).

As such, just to throw in my 1.4 cents, I think the player did nothing wrong creating the name, since it is not clearly an attempt to look the part of a mod. But, since it has Mod in it, it will confuse newer players and should likely be shrivled before the NS community.
