My Greetings to All and Sundry,

The Player of one of our older Nation States, in the Region of Wysteria, is currently in the hospital and is not expected to pull through. Having someone come to our Region and spamming about them deserving to die and hoping that they die is a new low in griefing by the Emerald Knights. If this matter is not dealt with, our Region will consider destroying their Region and sowing it with salt. We may generally be a nice bunch of guys to deal with but some lines should not be crossed.

I'm not sure that threatening to grief a region is the best way to get the mods help. . .

Perhaps mystic nights, will himself die a horrible death as his Yugo flies off a cliff onto a freshly frozen pond. I think legal action should be considered.

Yeah, that's true, but it's one thing for someone to say your Nation sucks and another to taunt someone about dying in real life when their in critical condition in the hospital and probably will. That's an unforgivable griefing in my books and at that point it's hard to try to turn the other cheek. It tends to bring out the Old Testament in me when I see 10 000 mile cowards like that who wouldn't dare say things like that to me in person. I've never been impressed very much by the whole online cowardice thing and never will.

It’s true that generally you can’t blaim a whole Region for the actions of one lowly spammer. That’s why I sent a poite telegram to their Delegate/Founder asking that they eject the offending state to the Rejected Realms.

Just to give people some background on the situation, some posts that caused this griefing.

Attention Wysteria,

Just to let everyone know, one of our own is at this time fighting for his life in a British hospital, since Sunday night. Don Clark (Blackbears) has been dealing with a number of severe medical conditions in the time that we have all gotten to know him and has always been a force for good among the Players in this Region. In dealing with adversity we have come to know a lot about the character of the man behind the Nation and I hope that soon we’ll once more see him posting on the Forum. It’s a rough time for both him and his partner and I’m sure that I speak for the Region when I say that we’re all pulling for him.

Just a brief messsage,

Don is still in the ICU today the doctors said that his chances for recovery from this are not good, there is a 75% chance he will die. Don has a DNR so if he stops breathing on his own there is nothing the doctors can do. I have called all of Dons relitives and they are flying in today, his AUnt will be here within the hour she landed at Heathrow about three hours ago, and his other relitives are on thier way. I have called his best friend and she is on her way. My parents will be here tommorow. I am sitting here alone waiting for the next shoe to drop and I am frightened. I do not know what I will do if I lose Don. I did read Don all of your best wishes for a recovery, and I hope he heard me. He is in a coma right now so I don't know if he heard but I think he did. I hope that you all will keep praying for him. I will update if anything happens thanks guys

Some people are using the anonymity of the internet to train themselves in cowardly cruelty.

They will suffer consequences, becoming people to be shunned in real life.

Friendless, isolated, they will rail against the cruelty of the world, never seeing the extent to which their own character, warped by heartless words and actions, has shaped their situation.

It is truly disgusting that people like this are allowed near computers. My condolences, and may your friend recover.

Any word on how the troll was delt with? I hope he was IP banned, at the least.
