It appears I had a visitor in the night.

Someone has somehow got into my game settings and changed my currency from the Screw to the Scarecrow and altered the named of my newly formed region from Eurotica to Peaceful.

Damn this place, you are taking things too far.

I had an ongoing debate recently which allowed me to continue with my currency (which incidently I've changed back).

I will soon be departing the shores of Peaceful, can anyone suggst a good region for my nation to join.

This is not the place to advertize, but I sugest the region of The Free Pacific

It is a peaceful place, and they need someone with a purpose. Maybe you can provide them with that. We have the biggest active army of NationStates though, you might wanna join them.

If your currency was changed, it was done so by a moderator. Changing it back may not be the best approach...

Yes, we certainly are. Of course, that's kinda what we're here for.

A word of advice, changing your animal and/or currency back to its previous incarnation after a Game Mod has changed it is generally regarded as an unwise action.

*Desperately trying not to be naive*, but what is wrong with a screw, or was it something in combination with motto and national animal?

Ahhh but you must realize, that the Gods be a fickle bunch...

Considering that the combination of animal, currency and nation name are sexual and this is a site for all ages you must have realised you were on thin ice. Perhaps you should just live with the modification. Perhaps you should explore another avenue for indulging your humour.

Ummm, I thought the whole point of your "army" was to invade The Pacific and oust Francos. When did your purpose change?

Yes, in that post I gave you the benefit of the doubt.. however to many people complained to me about it. So, I am the same GM who changed it. I didn't change your animal.. just your region name and currency. So, consider my approval revoked.

:idea: you really got screwed! Seriously though, less than two centuries ago all screws were made by hand and it was common for people to burn buildings down in order to get the screws for further use... screws were sort of a high-priced commodity, and in the right curcumstances were even considered a currency...

Thank you for that insight Tex. I can quite believe the validty of your statement. They are a neccessary requirement for nearly everything we create and use in modern life. Just stop what your doing and think for a second 'what would the world be without the screw?' You wouldn't be reading this if it wasn't for the humble screw.

Stephanie - It's very interesting to learn the way you do things around here. I thank you for your initial kindness in allowing me to keep my currency, but changing it without warning .... :shock:

I will have to accept your decision to prevent me from using my prefered name of currency. 'Joint' doesn't have any sexual reference as far as I am aware, so perhaps you will now allow me to continue unhindered with this intriguing game.

Out of every (legal) currency and animal you could use, why does one fight to keep a single one? There are far better ones out there. :?

And if your looking to join a region, drop an ad in NS forum if you want an RPing region, or General if you want a fun happy region.

:idea: less sensitivity on the side of those who feel it is their duty to complain about things people do that don't effect them... especially currency and national animals... I mean, just don't look at it if it "offends" you so much...

It appears to have slipped your notice, that I had already changed my currency to 'the Joint' I hope this acceptable.

Bas~ thank you for your input, you do come across as being a very helpful sort although you will insist on adding that little bit extra. The Screw is not an illegal currency for any other nation unless your national animal happens to be the Beaver.
