Ok, I asked if a nation would be brought back from death, but I received no response. One could assume that the silence is a "no," but, let me ask just one question (and hopefully get a response): Why? Even if I had gotten a "no," I'd still be asking this. Is it so hard to revive a nation? If I were a moderator, I would have no problem doing this if someone wanted it done. Don't get me wrong; the moderators do a great job at what they do, but I find it very hard to believe that their schedules are so chock-full of other things to do that they can't find the time to do so. I realize that most (or all) mods probably aren't high school students like me and don't have to work to live, but I wouldn't think reviving a nation would be a very time-consuming task.

When did you ask?
It takes forever to get nations revived with the "infamous moderator burecratic slowness."
According to Hack, now that it is the holidays, we'll be waiting till the cows come home.

I'm not exactly sure, it's been at least a week.

Ahh, therin lies your problem. Last time it took me two months, and now that it is the holidays. . .
Hack says that it hould during normal times take no more than two weeks, but he also said that we should be patient, as many mods are away.

I'm not saying I should be appointed, but I think we need more mods. We have like ten, and it takes a long time to get things done, since many mods have other things to do, like work, pay the bills, eat, and have fun. If some of the older nations who know what's going on and like helping others want to volunteer, maybe the rules should be laxed so they could be accepted. If I were a mod, I would love to be the official "nation-reviving mod" or something like that.

You have 16 posts, all of the older mods were active in RP and the younger ones in te tech forum, and all have several thousand posts on initiation.
Yet that aside:
A. They do not feel that they need more mods
B. Even assuming that you were a mod, you would be a forum mod for months.

I'm kicking this for a reply to Hack, and I'd also note that I was able to get a nation revived for another DUer within 24 hours once.

Now I am unhappy. I submitted requests for High Ground and Windswept Troy to be revived weeks ago.
This happened last time too. Greater Dystopia and Quintucket would still be dead were it not for Hack.

(And of course there are still two of my oldest puppets which died yesterday (a case of I liked them so much, that I thought I had logged into them recently) that I twice submitted a request for help accidentally under the default category(just realized it now and sent another request, then realized that I had done it again), and will likely not see again until after New Years)

It's a crap shoot, really. Also, some mods might not telegram to let you know it's been revive, especially if you aren't logged in when you make the request.
At any rate, I'll look into this stuff when I get home from work, so I expect it'll be about 8 hours or so (unless I forget...)

Thanks for doing this again Hack. :D
 Hack, I feel sorry bad about asking this since this is the third and fourth time already revived puppets on the forums for me, and this time I've only been waiting a day or two, but when you go to revive EoH's puppet could you revive Grand Inquisitor and Dystopian Empire?
(I'll certainly understand if you don't of course, since you've already been much nicer to me than was required by your position, and the request was first submitted only two days ago, and only in thecorrect category {I forgot to switch off of default} yesterday, but I figured that when you have it open again, if it's not too much trouble...)

Qaaolchoura, I didn't say I should be a mod. I just said I thought more would be nice, and that there are people who would volunteer for such a thing. Anyway, the name of the nation is "Squall Leonhart."

Also, my nation is substantially bigger than yours, Qaaolchoura, so I have been playing longer than you. I just don't post often.

puppet could you revive Grand Inquisitor and Dystopian Empire?
I thought I revived those not long after being promoted to GM. :? Did you let them die again?
At any rate, once again, the timing is all goofed. I'll try to handle this in the morning, but more likely it'll have to wait until tomorrow.

Nah, those were Greater Dystopia and Quintucket, two of my favorite puppets (5th and 4rth respectively these two aren't quite as important to me, but they are still among my top dozen), and needless to say I've been careful with those two ever since.
In his case it was that I overlooked the puppets under my nose(they are in my region), and assumed that I had logged intot hem earlier.

"Grand Inquisitor", "Dystopian Empire", and "Squall Leonhart" resurrected.
"Squall Leonhart"
Motto: 'Sis'! I cut myself on my gunblade!
Animal: suicidal politician
I'm slightly doubtful about the motto, and have to check with another mod, but I think that that should be fine.
The animal is questionable since it's a kind of person; I have to check with another mod. I think, however, that that should also be fine.
