You have to help others a great deal in the forums, Technical in particular. You also generally have to have a great deal of patience and self-control in dealing with others.
Those things, don't guarantee that you'll be made a mod, but they do help.
Of course, I wouldn't know much on the subject... :wink:

Since keyword searches were disabled, yelling modalert might not work anymore in getting a mods attention...
But, the question was answered well by Kandarin. Just play the game and do what you would normally do, and if [violet] thinks you're 'Mod material', and they can use some help, you'll be considered.

Probably just a joke since 1) they haven't said anything about needing new mods (and last time I heard have said they don't) and 2) in the (ex?) sticky, it said that the best way to guarantee you will never be a mod is to ask to become one.
