Maybe. There's been a guy floating around. He first showed up as Child Molestors R Us, AFAIK. He's gone through many nations, like Richard Simmons 69, M1chael Jackson, etc, always making lewd posts about raping children, and sexual advances towards other players.

The mods have this guy's IP. I try to ignore him, when Fyre's not around. When she is, I try to get him deated ASAP.

Could be dial-up, or simply any connection using DHCP, so that he gets a new IP every time he connects. There's a solution, but not a pretty one. Ban the entire range of addresses... but that bans everyone who's eligible to get one of those addresses upon connection.

Good luck against the goatzegeddon...it's late here in the East and I've got to go to bed.
There's alwasy the traditional way: get the IP, do a whois on it (samspade.org) to find out the ISP, and report teh user to the ISP!
Another possibility is that they are using a proxy. That might mean even an ISP complaint wont do anything worse then shut down the proxy .. doesn't help much.
And either way it takes a long time.

Hey, RepProd, try banning the MAC address. It's the adress of the actual network card, and unless we have a truly proficient computer whiz, it'll find him.

I saw in the thread I launched. My statement poked me to make a thread. I'm not big on networks and routers and servers, but I had an idea. Oh, well. Good luck on that, SalusaSecondus, and if you ever need any help, I can call over my network-freak roomies (who did most of my technical postings).
