Issue MODS?

I was just wondering whether if we appointed people whose job it was to put issues through then we would have loads of new issues. so the people wouldn't be a MOD but could just put issues through and that would be the only thing they could do because the backlog of issues is huge and i think 2 or 3 MODS are putting a few issues through every so often but i think this might solve the problem. if there is some flaw i haven't seen please tell me
Thanks

To create such a position would require an unpleasant amount of coding on the part of admin.
I'm not entirely sure that it would. Recall that Salusa has access to the issue editing section, but not (presumably, although it is possible that he does but doesn't use it) to the general mod centre

also, this goes in Tech.
I had a similar idea, but did not suggest it as the one that I had before got shot down with the amount of coding required explained to me.

It would not work. It would require creating a whole new class of Mod, with very specific powers but other powers blocked. Plus, the private Mod forum is used for everything from issue discussions to rule enforcement stuff, including IP address info, to game code stuff. There is no way to customise access to that. So sadly the idea is unworkable. But we do have new issues being added all the time. I see new ones every couple of days, and hardly notice the repetition any more. We must be close to a hundred by now. :)
