Apology is in order!

27-11-2003, 13:58
I deserve an apology after last night. Things clearly got heated. That was not my intention. I simply asked basic questions and I feel like I was pressured (and then deleted) to stop talking simply because I was getting close to a sensitive truth. I WILL NOT be shouted down.

And yes, in due time this matter will be brought before the UN because it is my conviction that having the mods involved with playing this game is morally wrong and believe that many of my peers in this game will in time agree with me. I believe that it is the UN's role to sit in judgment and to hold the gamemakers and the game's moderator to account. the moderators make the rules, but they are not above the rules.!:

Having read the events of last night, and finding your not entirely constructive telegram in my inbox, I doubt that an apology will be forthcoming. You were given several chances. It is best if you accept that you went too far and step back now.

The main point of your argument appears to be a conviction that Mods should not be allowed to have a nation in the UN, or should confine their nations to clearly defined regions.

No.

We were players long before we became Mods. Mods are chosen from the ranks of players. Moderation is a responsibility, not something for which we were brought in from outside to do. It is unfair to expect all of us to abandon playing the game we have played so long in favour of deleting spam. There are some limits on our game activities. Using UN member Mod nations to participate in invasions would not be the done thing. Other than that, why should we not have the opportunity to take part in the life of regions and vote in the UN?

I believe you should take a while to consider these issues.
