the mods are still showing bias! Neut Sputs is now LOCATED in the pacific! He needs to account for this! This is outrageous and against the spirit of the game! a moderator is not a player, in my book. :!:

The Pacific is a hot spot, so Neutered Sputniks places himself there to keep an eye on the behavior of both sides. He has not shown any indication of bias in this case, at least not when you look at the big picture.

The mods are allowed to reside where ever they want. Except region crashing, they are allowed to be players, and therefore as long as he isn't abusing his powers, he is doing nothing wrong. He may be surveying the situation. Give him time.

The Pacific is a hot spot, so Neutered Sputniks places himself there to keep an eye on offenses by both sides. Which is the same reason that Salusa lives in the Rejected Realms most of the time - you can see all the trouble in the world from there.

Yeah, but Salusa is a tech mod, so he could live anywhere really. All he is required to know is the bugs and stuff.

Ofcourse it is likely one perceives bias. Especially in the situation where people have a different, higher status and power in the hierarchy. The perceiving of bias also doesn't mean it is actually there at such moment or that it is important. In essence, all people are biased. Changing mods wouldn't solve such problem. Having no mods would, but such would create new problems with some immature people.

Since there is little to no competition in this game, especially none in a materialistic or status-gaining way, i foresee little problem with the current way. What i find important is that such discussion as this is possible; and it should remain possible so that people with a higher status/power are able to be publicly criticized, leading to debate and responsibility.

Mods are alwoed to live in whatever region they want. Just because they help out doesn't mean they can't play the game as long as they follow the rules. I think that if a mod wanted to aid in the invasion of a region, s/he could do so. As long as no rules are broken of course. :wink:

And like was said before, The Pacific is a hot spot. May be a good idea to have a mod watching it first hand anyway. What a better mod then Neut? :)

says who? where do the rules say this? Apparently, inter-regional grifting is against the rules, but the rules don't actually state this. So, which way are you having it? Apparently, whatever way the mods feel like it! Which sucks because it is so arbitrary! :!:

I can't believe this isn't a joke. The mods are only biased if your worldview is so skewed that you think mod nations residing in a region (Where would you have them reside? Some kind of mod-only non-region? Ts. They were players before they were mods, each and every one. Tch.) is wrong. I hope this thread gets locked.

Region Crashing is against the rules, and no mod has done it. There is a diffrence between Region Crashing and Region Invasion.

Invasion is where you go and take the UN delacay postion.

Crashing is where after you invade, you eject and ban all natives.

(Sorry about my terrible spelling, I'm rather tired as I got 5 hours of sleep and had to do hard physical stuff today.)

Now I see how your thinking! Ok, like my other post said, there is a diffrence between crashing and invasion. Invasion is perfectly legal. Nothing stops the mods from doing it, and nothing stops a hugs band of hundreds of people taking over every region in NS either!

My point is, as long as it's not illegal, any nation (Mod or not) is allowed to do it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think most of them look at their duties as responsiblities and often times burdens. Not powers. I know this is OT, but c'mon. Sometimes it seems like the mods have accepted their respective roles to the detriment of their enjoyment of the game.

If anybody cares to research it, I moved from The Vast to The Pacific the night of the attempted exploit of a glitch. My reasoning was to return order to the region.

Those who wonder why I remain in the Pacific probably dont know that I was gone for a few weeks due to real life and quite frankly am just too damn lazy to move my nation.
