Not to long ago, an associate received a severe admonishment from Stephistan regarding a harmless ball-gag post. This is not the only bit of authoritarian thuggery this mama has carried out. Her levels of hippocrisy are mind-boggling. And here she moderates NationStates - poisong it for all.

Good for the game ? Not for me to decide. But I care a whole lot less.

Secondly, in my opinion, Stphie's done a great job. She's helped out new players, and tolerated n00bs. Could you please name the example in particular, IE link to thread?

Alternatively, if you don't want to make the evidence "public domain", then TG someone (such as me) with what information you have and I'll have a look into it. Before anyone screams "bias", I can safely say that this business is new to me entirely so I'm not going to be walking in with any pre-conceived ideas.

Stephistan is one of the best mods out there in my opinion :D

I agree with Myrth, Stephistan is a great mod, and a nice player. Can we get some evidence on this accusation?

If I'm reading the initial post correctly, you're being accused of being a hypocrite. Specifically, admonishing someone for making a post about ball gags while we mods simultaneously allow a daily issue about BDSM to circulate among nations.

Of course, I'm still waiting for a link to the topic where this admonishing allegedly took place.

Well yes, but that was in relation to something you did before you were a mod. I got bashed a fair bit after the National Stalinist business, since a lot of big regions needed founders appointed - and doing so "on the fly" inadvertently weighed into long-running political stoushes.

Let's face it, most of the mods are so danged uncontroversial that the only way to bash them is via irrelevant arguments.

This was followed by a torrent of "we must protect the children" telegram rhetoric and associated threats to nullify my nation. Telegrams, of course, don't get archived without conscious user intent.

I'm sure that their are others that have been likewise threatened - their have been other threads here similarly bullied by Ms. Concerned Citizen.

Sure leaves me feeling sour about what's supposed to be an "open" intellectual exercise. "Open" the way way that Stalin or Pol Pot would have liked.

Oh yes, as any mod can check.. this was when I proposed my "Child Protection Act" which was passed in the UN, long before I became a moderator. I hardly call telegramming him and saying that I couldn't understand his arguments as;

I did send a few telegrams at the time acting as regional delegate of my region (I wasn't a mod yet) to the people of said region asking them if they were aware that your delegate thought it was ok to have sex with 7 year old children.

As for the ball-gag post I deleted back when I first became a moderator.. well, if memory serves me correct, which I believe it does.. the poster had posted a picture of a woman tied up with a ball-gag in her mouth. Very classy boys! It depicted violence against women. It was inappropriate and I would delete it again if it were to show up.

Now, why on earth it took you over three months to complain about said actions is quite beyond me. I will say this much. I stand by the decision I made and had any moderator seen the pic it would of been deleted from the site.

As for your flaming of me and name calling, I suggest you stop it. Flaming any one is against the rules and uncalled for. Flaming a mod is just stupid!

I just want to clarify this point: Images are held to far tighter restrictions than text.

I originally, thought that this was a complaint about a text description of ball gags being removed. I would consider a text description of ball gags to be maybe, I repeat, "maybe" acceptable, but I'd have to confer with other mods about it.

Images of adult toys actually being used or worn are beyond what is acceptable for NationStates.net.

While I may have personal reasons for disliking Stephistan, all I've seen from this antimod crowd have been chaotic, disorganized, meaningless attacks. I mean... come on people. She once sent a telegram to your delegate? She deleted a post containing the image of a woman wearing a ball gag? If that's the best you can do, then I suggest you move on to a more controversial mod.

At least Neut's haters could rally around threads he'd lock.

CPA passed - 8/2
Steph modified - 8/31

Well, I agreed with it in spirit Goobergunchia, I just found it to vauge if I recall correctly. Only because you had forgot to state what constituted a minor. I remember that.. The whole argument against the proposal was to define what a "minor" was. Silly how we recall stuff huh? Especially when you get old like me.. ;)

IIRC, part of the argument was that I didn't provide a provision regarding non-minors being sexually assaulted.

'Twas a long time ago (in NS terms), anyway....
