In the SP we keep track of spammers and flamers and deal with them internally (through a banning) we work on a three warnings rule. it' saves us from going to the mods for every little turd who thinks it's fun to beat up on a feeder region.
they are kept track of by the minister of justice and the delegate.
bistmath - in her capacity as regional vice president.

It's not such a big issue, but spammers mostly like to outsmart other players. In that case it's much easier to inform the mods than deal with it yourself.

corinthe as a region we decided to deal with spammers on our own. mos t spammers never go past thier initail sets of spam. for the others, it seemed much more prqactical, not to mentions kinder to the mods to keep a record of evidence and after three warnings boot the offending nation. worked quite well.
you'll note that in the micheal jackson thread here i was able to dredge up evidence from earlier this month and post it for the mdos to see, with the url. this policy has allowed us to track similar posts with great accuracy; with the original post being present as quotes we can compare the voice, sentence structure and typical typos for similarities. when we get a repeat customer, then it is time to bring in the overworked underpaid mods.
this rule has prevented spammers from frightening our new players, it keeps us from bothering the overworked mods with trivia while enforcing to the more scatalogical of our residents that filth will not be tolerated.
cogitation: :P feel complimented. i was only saying that becuase i'm sitting on dettibok's computer... and he's reading over my shoulder.

If I remember official policy correctly, we mods do prefer that players amicably resolve arguments amongst themselves whenever possible... if I remember official policy correctly.
So, if I'm correct, then if I were officially speaking, then I'd officially say that it sounds like a good system to me. Of course, since I can't remember certain official stuff, I really can't say anything for certain, officially. So, officially speaking, I'll have to check the official stuff and get back to you.
So, just keep in mind that that's not official, yet.
Clear? :D
