He might not have flamed you if you had not taunted (baited?) him.
When two people get into a fistfight, the loser sometimes tries to get the winner prosecuted for assault. The charges are thrown out because the fight was "by mutual consent". That's what this situation looks like to me.

It's locked now. Another case of two-sided flaming, what he did was no worse than what you did. The only thing I am going to do it tell everyone to be more considerate.
