May I ask, why can I say 'BASTARD!' as much as I like (as this would most likely be considered a cuss word by many - I don't, but that is besides the point), but some nudity is the most horrible thing anyone can do? This is a lot like American TV, I think.....swearing and violence as much as you like, but as soon as a bit of flesh gets shown, it's bye-bye.

I didn't know about the mod but I do know that the site owner is Australian. You make a good point but I would say that the culture of this site is set by the majority American culture.

Here's the deal with porn on the forum, as I understand it:

The servers are hosted in America, in San Francisco actually (I should visit them some time, I'm thinking). There is a law in America that any web site wishing to host pornography must place a disclaimer and warning on their site, that must be read before someone can access the content. Nationstates lacks such a disclaimer, so Max and the company hosting the servers would be legally liable for breaking this law if they permitted pornography.

That sucks. I can understand the logic of it, but it still sucks.

Gees, it figures I miss this. I always miss it, I have yet to see any porn over NS. Not sure if this is good or bad. :?

This is getting ridiculous. The issue itself has been resolved by a mod several pages ago and keeping the thread open only promotes the childish name-calling of certain parties.

Hence, locking time.
