I think we should have a forum just for coding a programing descussion. I've noticed people posting questions about technical issues in the technical forum that are not related to NationStates. With this new forum, all us codemonkeys could discuss coding, help other with coding, etc. I think its a good idea.

Well, at some point soon I will have a massive computation-type project to code in C, but I am sure I will find some other dedicated online resource. Surely others can do the same?

Well, I think it would be fun for players to chat with other players and not just read manuals.. plust you can get input from other users as well..

But that has nothing to do with NationStates

even less than the bastard general forums which merely exist to take up bandwith

you should simply make your own forum using invisionfree or something of the sort.

Does the general forum have anything to do with nationstates? Nope, its just a forum for random shiite.. Besides, no one would join a forum of mine, they prefer to spam here..

Don't get me wrong...I think it would be a great idea and people (especially me) would learn a lot form it...

however...as I said I think the General Forum should be gotten rid of...adding another non-NS forum only makes more problems...

Don't get me wrong...I think it would be a great idea and people (especially me) would learn a lot form it...

however...as I said I think the General Forum should be gotten rid of...adding another non-NS forum only makes more problems...

Alright, I'll just let this thread sit for now, if nothing happens, I will make this other forum for it.

playing the devil's advocate, if we created a coding forum, why not a nazi forum, a fashion forum, a conservative and liberal forum etc.

I would think this would fall into the tech forum, wouldn't it? I know everyone is tired of hearing this cause it beats the dead horse, but I'm still gonna say it-

Another forum will slow the bandwith of the server even more.

My humble advice is to build another forum, and have them sticky the link on the tech forum to it.

Nope, coding doesn't belong in the Technical Forum unless it has to do with nationstates. You don't go and make a topic about wanting to learn Perl in the Technical forum mr. non-moderator..
