MODs: I have two nationstates - The Republic of Stubby, and The Borderlands of Snub Nose 38. Stubby was NOT a UN Member, SN38 was. A couple days ago SN38 resigned. Then Stubby applied for membership. Got the email message and the TG. When I clicked on the email message "link" it told me Stubby was already a member.

I sent a reply that Stubby was not, and explained all of the above.

Then went back to NS, and Stubby WAS a UN Member.

Gack!!

So - basically - it's fine the way it is now. Thanks

Watch and see. Soon both of your nations will be kicked out of the UN and the claim will be that you have two UN nations using the same computer. Nothing will be done to fix this.

Understood. Thanks. Well, he doesn't have anything to worry about any ejections or deletions then! If he wants to switch UN nations, just resign and reaply with the other. I guess I didn't understand the topic. :oops:

It reminds me of what happened way way back when I joined the UN. The Email arrived and said "click here to join" which I accordingly did (after persuading my browser that now was not a good time to fool around and change security settings or re-set my homepage). Imagine my surprise to see something which said "Enodia is already a UN member". My guess is that it's just a harmless quirk in the programming whereby the nation applying actually joins the UN a little bit before the owner clicks the link.

Saul 2 Paul, you were a good sensible player before under a previous incarnation (no irony intended), please don't turn into an anti-moderator nation now.

Yup. That's what I did, and it seems to be working.

If I get kicked out - well, in the end, it's just a game :wink:

That is why I started as a totally new player and am allowing my former nations to die. I am no more of an anti-moderator nation now than I have ever been. I only stated the obvious, of what will happen, if the very quirk you mentioned occurs. Look at how quickly, the assumption was made, toward the player who started this thread, that he was a multi.

The assumption was made that he was a multi because the manner in which he expressed his problem left things open to debate. Unfortunately, there's a good deal of paranoia about multis going around and people seem more prepared to assume the worst than to assume the best.
