What happened to this region? I noticed that 3 hours ago, all nations were ejected, and the region ceased to exist. Was this a Mod action, or a griefing?

(Note: The account now set as Founder there is indeed my puppet. I wanted to look at the banlist. It turns out that the banlist is empty. In case this was a Mod action and you want that region empty, I have set a password, and it will self-delete at the next update)

after a region dies it loses all data including the banlist.
For two of my regions I had misspelled te fonders names, so I recreated them at the eveneing UN update, and lo and behold, all data gone.

Because the region did not exist when I moved my puppet, even though no update had occurred between the region's emptying and my puppet's resurrection of the region. This is what confuses me.

Yes, but the update cycle is between 9:00 AM GMT and approx. 2:00 PM GMT. The region was emptied at approx. 10:00 PM GMT, and my puppet moved in at approx. 1:00 AM GMT. This is quite distant from the update cycle.

There are TWO updates per day that will clear an empty region. The obvious one is the regular update that also assigns delegates, the other one is about 11/13 hours apart from that which gives people their 'second' issue if they get two per day. What you descibe looks like normal system behaviour to me. At least, the system behaviour I'm used to :)

Many times, this just does happen after the region has been empty for a certain length of time, and not at reset times.

Did the nations in there grief? Possible mod action, FS seems to report infractions regularly. Who knows tho, not I....

If they had violated rules, I would presume they would be warned or deleted. Ejection is not, from my experience, a punishment the mods usually use. And if they were trying to destroy the region, they would take actions to prevent it from being re-established by someone else.

Good point. So, the nations that were int here, do they still exist? Could try TMing them...
