That crazy guy made a terrible proposal. Besides I know many people who say he is power hungry and annoying. He should be deleted so dang quickly.
Absolutely not, if he made a bad proposal he should be warned first.

The power hungry person is the one who comes screaming in and demands a nation be deleted right off the start. Yes deletion is a tool to be used, but only in the extreme, not as a first punishment.

What proposal is this anyway?

The one that just passed, unfortunately.

You all have made my day, week; heck you made my life! To see you all fight over a stupid game as if it were real life. HAHAHA, I'm laughing so hard its uncontrolable!

Glad my proposal has made it to the Resolution stage and I'm mostly glad that it will pass and make all of you enforced by it. :)

So....you want him deleted because his proposal passed? It seems to me a majority of NSers (UN NSers atleast) disagree with you.

Yes, not every proposal, or even resolution for that matter, that passes in the UN is going to be written with perfect spelling and grammer, and is going to be perfectly airtight as far as wording goes. But consider that real resolutions take a bit more wording and the players aren't professional politicians/beurocrats. Give us a break if not every resolution that passes lives up to your standards.

Personally, I vote on resolutions based on their spirit, and I won't vote no if it has one little (or even big) loop hole in it, but I agree with what they are trying to say.

Not me...actually I'm a part of that majority that voted FOR. I vote according to the majority of For/Against votes received from UN nations of my region, always. Although it was disappointing to see the author mocking others for supporting his proposal, I do not see it as a nation-deletable offense.

(ooc: for some reason I thought you were Blues Island when you made that post)

Yes it is in bad taste to mock the other players that voted against the proposal, but all the same Blues Island shouldn't call for deletion just because a not-so-well-worded proposal passed into a resolution (or one he doesn't agree with ... since wording obviously isn't the most important thing to him ... that was a bit of a cheap shot .. sorry). In some ways its a shame poorly worded proposals aren't a deletable offense, it sure would make being a delegate alot easier

Anyway, I kinda got on a (minor) tangent with that last post (and a bit in this one) and kept on going. I should probably sleep...or do my homework..or something.

So he's a bad winner, if you don't like it, give him an IG Cannon barrage. In any case, I'm the one laughing, because his Resolution sorted out long-running stats problems in two of my nations. HA!! :D
05-11-2003, 15:13
Actually, a better case for deleting a player would be if he was trying to intimidate players in his region to release personal information, and he was collecting it - mostly from minors.

Such a person could also have accused me of being a UN Multi and threatened to turn me in to the Mods if I didn't knuckle under.

Mods could check my telegrams if they pleased.

That's a pretty serious accusation. Please keep any telegram evidence for a couple of weeks and submit a detailed Getting Help report. That goes for anyone else in a similar position.

*cough* *hack* *whiz*

Uh... TG.... since UN resolutions only affect UN Member nations... aren't you saying here that two of your nations are in the UN? Perhaps the above isn't what you meant to write?

 Oops! No, I'm not a multi! Haha! Man, what a cock-up! No, that would be just the one UN nation. I was thinking of a non-UN puppet that suddenly got better. That must have been due to one of the new issues, really. Thanks for pointing that out, I didn't realise what I had written. :P

In response to Staistani, I do not collect nor disptribute 'personal' information! We have had a problem in our region or people having multipule nations so we have resorted to everyone telling your frist name, where you live, and if you are in high school or not. That then gets stored in the DAC's (Deelgational Advisory Cabinet) database and is used to advise the current delegate of whom may be cheating or not. There are quite a few members of the DAC and all of us do not release ANY personal information, we just use the information given to determine if you are cheating or not.

Actually, its a good thing we exist. One of the nations actually got away with having 2 nations in the UN for quite sometime. The DAC intelligence official then reported him, and he was ejected from the UN.

I don't think that just a plain, old, stupid resolution requires a nation to be deleted. Obviously if it was extremely offensive then yes, but in this case most certainely not.

Ok - - A lot of us are really annoyed of Whoway. He didn't just put up an annoying proposal , but treated others poorly and collected personal info without some individuals consent. Here's some evidence:

Whoway Wrote:

You are too retarded for words. I have more info on you than you'll ever have on me. Minime was disposed and you won't have the chance to get another one in!

Whoway Wrote:

Seems like you have more of a power-hungary spirit than I, trying to tell others what to do and such. It's ok, your still a retard.

Whoway Wrote:

And no, the election was as fair as one on NS that some people hardly ever check can get. You know, now that I'm thinking about it, I do believe that you are slightly jealous of me having the influence and small amount of power that I do have.

Whoway Wrote:

Glad you are leaving, for good. You're right, it was an insult for me to put you in the catagory with retards, they are much better than you are. And I can't get in trouble for anything, I've done nothing to you.

There you have it . Also, his sidekick Exile, is the one who gives him the persoanl info when others refuse to do so when asked and Whoway of course, stores it in a database. And when something doesn't go his way, he posts the info on the message board like a phone number or home address + plus their first and last name. This of course violates several rules and he should be banned by IP! So does Exile!

Thank you and please vote yes on his banning!

Nirvana_Lama, I believe you should use the "Getting Help (http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/index.cgi/page=help)" feature, instead of putting it in this thread.
06-11-2003, 02:08
None of that proves anything! How many times must I say that I do not collect and/or discloase personal info on ANYONE! You so far haven't showed any proof of this.
Tactical Grace
06-11-2003, 03:28
They do not have to show proof to you. Once again, I ask all nations which have had problems to save their telegrams for a couple of weeks and file a detailed Getting Help report. The telegrams should then be examined by Game Mods, hopefully within a week, and they will decide whether anything untoward has occurred.

No, I think I will leave it unlocked. If it is left to sink, players with potentially relevant information might not know to come forward.

EDIT: I will however ask people not to flame or flamebait. Composure, please.

Fine. If you wont lock it, I'll have someone else do it. They can come forward without needing to post!

Bad form.

Do not lock it. You will find out important information if you do not. There are alot of people who have things to say against Whoway. I can second the fact that he gives out peoples personal information across the game to threaten them.

The Getting Help page. (http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/index.cgi/page=help)

Shut up Punkum. I don't know what is going on with you and Whoway but I'm sick of you acting like he is a god. Just because he gave you a position on the DAC, that means nothing. The DAC is run by him only, and Leverandon luckly has founder power. You mean nothing Punkum, turn on Whoway and you will mean something.

Paranoid much? I don't know who you think I am, but it's not Punkum, and you can check with the mods on that.

You got a beef with Whoway, and that's fine, but his fate is not decided by user poll.
