Why was Exterminance was deleted? Also, I've been watching the region "Stormfront" (That's where he was) and it seems like an awful lot of nations there bite the dust. Do they have a higher rate of violating the rules or do they just let their nations die from inactivity?

As far as I know, I never broke a rule. I can't help but find it suspicious that it happened after I joined the Stormfront region, though. Somebody with a personal agenda waging vendetta against the region?

You may notice that nations bite the dust from a given region more frequently than others for two reasons:

1.) The region tends to misbehave (as individual nations) more.

2.) They develop a reputation for misbehavior and are therefore more likely to have mods watching their nations; ergo, they are more frequently caught breaking the rules when they do so (we don't catch everybody all the time), and therefore get deleted more often.

Bah, I would've changed that ages ago if I thought of a better animal... I only changed it to that when some mod changed it to 'cute puppy dogs'. And since then, I hadn't been able to think of an appropriate animal.

The nationstates are like agents. They always come back when destroyed.

Parra, they are on a 'zero tolerance' stance for people that hold certain views. He got axed because of what he believed, plain and simple. Anybody else will be judged by less harsh standards.

I was the Vercingetorixians until my computer crashed some months ago. I made a request to reinstate some of my old nations, but have yet to hear a response. I had only one instance of infraction with the mods where my animal, the "Wild Bantu" was somehow objectionable. Most people didn't know what a Bantu was, except one mod who had an issue with it. I changed it and thought the issue dropped. I wonder if my "forbidden" ideologies merit a permanant ban on an otherwise unremarkable nation.

Because you are overly careful and you don't become too strident in the expression of your opinions. The point is that we shouldn't have to watch what we say this closely, it's selective moderating.

Because you are overly careful and you don't become too strident in the expression of your opinions. The point is that we shouldn't have to watch what we say this closely, it's selective moderating.

Nah, I'm not overly careful...I have a big mouth. (But I digress.) I just don't always talk about the same issue is all. Since of have so many unsual views I have more to talk about.

That....was an awful long time ago that they changed your animal. I've had lots of neat national critters since then. It ain't that hard to come up with something.

I can't think of anything I've done that could merit deletion. I've always been careful not to break the rules. And I'm very annoyed that my flagship nation, with my favorite screen name, billion-plus population, highest post count, and position of significance in the Exterminance/Benevolentino syzygy has been deleted... so, would the moderator responsible PLEASE explain why this has been done?

Yes, he certainly would. However, it is far more likely that a Game Mod will explain sooner than Max will examine the logs.

I think a nation is at least entitled to an explanation in such circumstances. Not reinstatement or justification, just a brief statement about the grounds on which the action was taken, with a reference to the particular offense.

Yes, he certainly would. However, it is far more likely that a Game Mod will explain sooner than Max will examine the logs.
I'm thinking otherwise. At this point, the most plausible explanation is that some opponent of WN has been promoted to the status of Moderator by being helpful, as per the guidelines on how to become a Moderator -

Exactly, so if he made a mistake and never received a warning he can know how not to make the same mistake, otherwise he is in the dark. That happens a lot, people get deleted for obscure, or vague, reasons.

Nope, when they bring a nation back from the dead the pount count is back to 0 and the day it was founded to set to the day it was brought back. Which BTW someone did bring your nation back. I'm still curious as to why it was deleted in the first place though.

Well, I can enlighten you a little. Though I'm not sure as to the original cause of death, it would appear that someone restored Exterminance to examine the nation and do a post-mortem, but did not redelete him properly, thus causing him to be alive in the forums for a short period of time. His deletion has not been (and in all likelyness shall not be) revoked.

You posted your comments on IQ and race and I refute your conclusion.

IQ is not a measure that can be applied in the manner in which you do. It is not a generalisation.

As an example you could have a Massi tribesman that by chance has the most analytical mind on earth. However without the knowledge of calculus for example he would not be able to answer those questions. This is simplified but the basics are there and are appicable.

The data derived from these tests are strictly limited.

Of course if a mod asks for this to be moved elsewhere I will be happy to comply.

Exterminance's first national animal was "juden". He received a warning.

Then it was noticed that his national animal was "nationstates moderators".

We warn but once.
