General mod-reaction time?

After having lodged a request through the "Getting Help Page," how long can one generally expect before a mod see it, and act/respond to it?

Sometimes a couple of days, sometimes up to a week, depending on how busy the Game Mods are. Right now, I think very.

Thank you.
And does one get a responce whether the mods choose to act upon the request or not?

It depends. In my experience, if action is taken, you could be informed. If no offence has been found to have been committed by the accused, then I am honestly not sure.

Occasionally, corrective action is taken, but you are not informed (you just stumble across the evidence later.)
 one who's been there.

Nice spanglish there Kat ;)
Usually there are far too many pending requests to be able to take time to message every player requesting assistance. If you ask, we'll attempt to respond, but it's not always possible.

It's funny that mods respond to this and not threads like my "need help with spamming (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=86430)" thread...
Meh. :|

Probably because they're doing stuff about it. They'll likely post on it when the problem's solved...

Rather, "I Believe An IP Ban Is In Order."Well, yes, but I was feeling a little indignant when I made that title. I would change it, but then those little editing tags just look sloppy.

It's been stated before that IP Bans have to be approved by Admin before they are put in place.

I had to wait over a wekk a month or two ago...and I still don't think anything has been done about it (but I've deleted the telegram now).
It depends on a lot of factors, some being:
1. How clearly you've explained the problem in the first place. If the mod request was very clear, then we can get to work on it immediately, otherwise it might take a while to see what we have to do.
2. How much else is being done at the same time. If there's a massive amount of multi-ing and griefing going on, then that tends to take precedence over any requests. Equally, if it's a "slow day", that equates to more time to look at the tasklist.
3. How complex the issue is. A simple "X has an inappropriate motto" is very easy to fix. Something like "X sent me an offensive telegram" might require a bit more digging around since (and this has been done before) mod requests of that type have been filed where the file-er actually started the flame war. If you're after resolution to a griefing/region crashing problem where both sides have made Mod Requests and no multis exist, that can take a very long time to sort out.
In relation to whether or not you'll be told when we've done whatever you're after being done, that basically depends on the mod. I do try to send telegrams saying something like "thanks for the information, your problem has been dealt with" when positive action has been taken and every now and then I know telegrams are sent saying things like "we haven't found any real evidence of griefing in region X", but it varies a fair bit as to what we'll do.

I wasn't trying to say anything other than referencing a thread on a second thread and changing the name in the reference might be confusing.
