I created the puppet nation of Reset, a few months back so that i could experience Rpin' and a nation from a different perspective. Well i never really got round to Rpin with it but i have kept it going with the hope that one day soon i will be able to use it. Well on Thursday (UK TIME) i accessed the nation at my school. I typed in the password buti foolishly let the person sitting next to me see it. He is also a nationstates player and not renowened for being the most honest person in the world. So i immeadiately changed passwords. Only problem is now i have forgotten the password. I didnt include an email because i wasnt going to join the UN and didnt think that i would forget the password.
if the IP address was traced you would find it to be that of my school (of which unfortunately i can give you no proof) and that this was the place where RESET was last accessed. I propose to access Independent Hitmen tommorrow at this school on the same PC so that the IP address can be traced back to there and so that hopefully the mods will be able to reset the password and email it to me so that i may experience the Rping in my half term.
Could a mod please telegram me to tell me if this would be possible?
Thank you.

The mods don't have access to the passwords, so basically there is nothing they can do.

Yes, it is one-way encryption, there is no way for a Game Moderator to find out your password. Also, if nations are hijacked, and I suppose this goes for lost passwords too, there is no way to conclusively prove that a given player was their owner, even with IP scans. I will defer judgement to a Game Moderator, but as far as I know, the policy is that we are unable to do anything.

How do they /who ressurects people then?

When nations are deleted, their data at the time of deletion is saved. But even in those rare cases when nations are resurrected and returned, the player would still need the most recent password to access them.

They do not need the PW for it.
I suppose, that hypothetically they could add your email address or change your password, but unless you get Hack, I suspect that the answer will be "no" (even then it might be).
Why Supply Your E-mail Address?
It's not essential, but it means that if you forget your password, it can be mailed out to you. Otherwise your nation will be lost to you forever. You don't want that. Think of your poor people.
Privacy Policy: Your e-mail address is kept private and will not be spammed. To date, I have sent only one e-mail to NationStates players: in January 2003, to announce the publication of my novel Jennifer Government, on which NationStates is based. I have no plans to send another e-mail, but if I decide to, I promise that such mail will be very infrequent, related to NationStates and/or my novels, and will allow you to unsubscribe. Your e-mail address will never be given to any third party.

Also (as for the 'way to prove it') it is likely that your school has a network with one, or a few dybnamically assigned, external addresses. That would mean that even i fyou do access it from the same computer, it won't actually be able to prove anything since (as far as the NS server is concerned) you could be anyone at your school.
