Mod power
the mods should cut slack on the rules. A lot of nations are leaving the game because it is becoming boring. We want to be able to invade and control regions entirely and kick out the original inhabitants. This will occupy us and give us a reason to stay in the game.

but that "thrill" you get from region crashing is at the expense of other peoples enjoyment. Give me one reason why it is fair for a group of nations to kick everyone out of a region and not let them back in.

I doubt it. The vast majority of opinion is weighed against your idea of "fun".

Max's server/bandwidth, [violet]'s hard work. Their rules. Don't like it, tough luck. A lot of players find region griefing to not be enjoyable, and on that score, the boss's word is that the enjoyment of a few region-griefers is not as important as the enjoyment of the majority of the non-griefer players.

Oh dear. A July nation is bored and afraid everyone will quit if he and others can't destroy other people's regions with impunity.
News flash: There are many nations far older than you who enjoy this game without any involvement in invasions of any kind, let alone those that are against the rules.

Even other July nations(<===), so it is not just a phase he's going through.

Griefers and Invaders are not necessarily the same thing. I'd appreciate it if you didn't use the the words interchangably.

Sorry, not my intent- 007 there was describing griefing, hence my using Griefer, not Invader.

Even a simple game like Tic Tac Toe has rules. If you don't like it, tough luck on you! Many of us joined this game because we like it. Any sudden change of rules would heavily disturb us. Please leave the game, if you don't like the rules. Destroying regions on which we have worked for our a long time, is not our idea of fun. I'm 90% sure that I'm talking for the the fast majority of NS players. I must state that you are free to invade any of my regions, but as soon as you eject as much as 1 of the natives, I personally will not rest untill you are called an ex-nation.

Let me remind everyone that nobody can get anybody else deleted. Players can, however, get themselves deleted.
Just a reminder.
Oh, Corinthe, it's "vast majority", not "fast majority". Okay? We all know that the majority of NS players are not fast.

I've been here since December and I'm not bored ^_^

You know what I mean. I'm not an easy person, when I'm angry. Lol, I wished that I had mod powers, without actually having mod duties :P
I just want to say that I respect every invader that can invade and takeover my region. Griefers are not in my book of respected people.

As an invader, I totally agree with Polok on this one. That said, I do wish there were some re-consideration of founder rights, as this shall surely make invasion both legal and completely obsolete/impossible. I agree that there should be established and increased rights to natives, just think it is odd to have a rule allowing something that is on its way to being written out of the game. Oh well, sure no one agrees with me, though again I do believe in some ideas of founder rights.

Plus it’s lazy, and there is no real justification for it. What is your idea of fun, simply getting a thrill out of denying people the right to be in the region they enjoy? Frankly, that sucks. I can’t imagine taking over a region and not wanting to interact with the locals.
I just want to say that I respect every invader that can invade and takeover my region. Griefers are not in my book of respected people.

Well, I have seen some of the other invaders who do it legally, not sure you want to blanket respect all of them.
1) this nation is a puppet nation so i have been on nationstates longer than you think
2) i started this thread because i read(telegram, regional boards, etc.) that other nations wanted to be able to totally crash a region
3) i could care less if that rule was taken away, i like the game as it is. i started this to see other peoples opinions
The rules rules. Thats that. Like Rep Prod said, you don't own the game so you don't get to make the rules. Go make your own here (http://www.invisionfree.com).
This is turning into flame. I smell the smoke!

The rules on griefing, as they stand, are unlikely to be amended. Eject all or most of the natives, password it, use multis, do those things and if we catch you, the punishment will be very severe.
