Bah. I'll skew the apple leaf, then Apple have no claim to it 8)

Why not make it a picture of a lock? That Aplle think is nicely done, but there is already a claim on by a big computer manufacturer.

It comes under the same jurisdiction as flags. There are countless flags with the Apple logo on :P
You could make a lock with the same color and emboss/plastic wrap look. If your lazy I might just do it when I get home, though.

Not with the big copyright signature under it :P

I'm touched. :D
I appreciate the thought, but at the very least, the copyright mark has to go. :? Apple literally owns that image.
Additionally, I don't have webspace of my own, so I can't guarantee that I would ever be able to use these images unless someone else hosts them for me. :? Guapovia might let me borrow some webspace, I know he has some.
As for the image, if you Photoshop an Apple image onto a picture of an lock, I think that would work well. :D
The other thing is that I don't want to choke 56K users. :? If you could get it down to maybe 10-15 kilobytes, I would appreciate it. Thanks. :D
The file is hosted on my webspace :P
Blueyonder are too stupid to put bandwidth restrictions in place, so I don't mind leechers
I'll get rid of that copyright logo and replace it with 'Sincerily, Cogitation.'
Better? :D

How about preserving the aspect ratio and resizing it to 100 pixels vertical? Much better that way.
That causes a lot of pixellation. It's only 20kb so it's hardly going to kill the 56k people :P

But at 1152x864 res, it fills up a sixth of my screen. People are not going to find a large iLock poster at the end of every locked thread amusing.

Yeah, it might not hurt to make it a bit smaller; what would it look like at 100 pixels high?
--The Democratic States of Cogitation
You can't make out the 'Sincerily, Cogitation' bit.
Doesn't matter though, that bit isn't really important.

Now you need to make some for iMove, iSplit, and whatever other iDoStuffs Cog uses ;)
iMove, iSplit, iDelete, iSticky, and iAnnounce.
You could always rip off the icons from the moderator icon group at the bottom of a thread....
(On phpBB boards there are four icons at the bottom of a thread for mods: Lock, Move, Delete, and Split.)
There's also iKick for when he bumps a topic :P

Only did 4 for now, since those are the most common.
ANd don't try to line them up, they don't work so well that way :P

Hey! I didn't ask for any of these! Myrth just posted this topic all on his own!
*sigh*
Seriously, though, asking you about these had come to mind. I simply hadn't gotten around to it yet.
If I might describe what kinds of images I would like, I'll come up with some descriptions tonight (New York time). :)

Okay, I don't like being pushy when someone's offering me a gift, but if I may make some requests? :)
For the lock image: A picture of a key-lock with the Apple logo in place of a keyhole OR a combination lock where the dial is in the middle of an Apple logo.
For the move image: A picture of an apple being moved from one place to another.
I still have to think about iSplit. Suggestions would be welcome. At the moment, I'm thinking of an apple being split.

Myrth, you gave me a good idea of which you will be seeing a lot. But may I make a request? Could you restyle one of those round buttons to contain a circular analogue clock face showing 10 o'clock? Keeping as close as possible to the convention? Then post it here. I would be very grateful. :)
I still have to think about iSplit. Suggestions would be welcome. At the moment, I'm thinking of an apple being split.
How about an apple with a bite out of it?

Hmmm.... That's the standard Apple logo. Wouldn't make much sense.
Maybe a picture of an Apple being cut in half with a knife?

Perhaps just an image of an apple peeler... :)

Yeah, a merge option would be useful next time there are four topics started AGAINST a single UN resolution on the floor.
