I had an idea that may make the mods take a little less flak. Try taking threads in the private mod fourm dealing with old griefings or whatever, lock them, and move them to somewhere public. This lets members see how thee mods deal with things. If they see how things are done, it tends to make them less resentful of mods, as they see that actions are not just unilateral.

We have a seperate IRC channel for the mods. Thats where most of the discussions take place.

You could censor the actual personal stuff. If wouldn't be that hard to ctrl-h the names and IPs, then do a quick proofread to make sure, on a couple of old threads.

Perhaps so, but if we made that much of an effort to be transparent about the past, we would have no time to deal with the present.

The cases would have to be picked carefully, and the people discussed in them would probably have to be consulted first for such an idea to work.
