Griefing in Spratly

Go look up Kengsai, and check its IP with those of nations in Paripana (ones I suspect who did it) and warn/DEAT both accordingly. While your at it could you check and see if any nations in Spratly have the same IP as any in Paripana? Thx

He is right, when will people start reading the stickies and announcements? This forum is mainly intended for Forum issues. If you wish to report Multis, that is a Game issue, and necessitates the use of the Getting Help page:

Corinthe is uniquely useful as she goes into a lot more detail, and has proven to be accurate several times. Her activity here, although not strictly speaking in line with the intended purpose of this Forum, is tolerated, and indeed appreciated. But this is not the place for any player to report potential UN Multis.

In any case, this is a spamming case, not griefing. I already filed a report on it yesterday.

What? In Spratly?
Kandarin
12-10-2003, 01:35
Yes.

Also, you're requesting an IP scan on two regions. This isn't an easy thing for the mods to do, and shouldn't be asked for unless you can provide some good evidence for why it is required.

The reason why, is that nations in Paripana have, for the past few months, been hiding their puppets in my region for the purpose of spying on and invading me. I need to know who is at fault. I also need to know who is behind Kengsai, so I can execute my foundal powers by declaring war on their owner, with a true casus belli.

That doesn't indicate any link between Kengsai and Paripana.

How did you know that they have been hiding puppets in your region in the first place? Any proof?

And using OOC infomation for IC puproses is a good excuse for an ignore, you know.

Any proof? Certain, they have said so themselves.

Kandarin, I have this suspicion. They would sort of have a reason too, because they hate me. No one else would, i think...?

Look at the last post in the following. Although it speaks of UN sweeps and not IP scans, comparing the IPs of everyone in one region to everyone in another region must be time-consuming.

I'm sure I read somewhere recently that we generally do not perform IP scans on entire regions on request, unless the circumstances are judged to be exceptional. I might be wrong, however. The procedures are scattered all over the place. Hmm, I need to make a clipboard . . . I will seek clarification.

Those forum links have no reference to Kengsai or Spratly.

What's their forum's address? I can access it for you and copy any genuine incriminating info to this one.

Yes, but performing an IP check on a nation is a piece of pee. It's comparing them that takes time, because it involves a lot of flitting between pages.

The point here is this... These are Game Mod issues.. that is what the "getting help" page is for. We are Forum mods..and therefore are not really in a position to answer these questions. This section is suppose to be for moderating the forum.. if you have game issues.. take it to the proper place. This isn't it!

Thank You

I don't like to be "tolerated" Actually my postings here are a sort of "panic button". I only report regions that are about to be destroyed by the update of the server, because the griefers left the place pasworded, so the natives can't return. You may look back in forum history, I never report any takeovers or stuff, that can easily be reported by the natives, since the region still exist.
In short; I only report incidents that are griefing beyond and doubt, and need mod attention fast, preferably the same day.

Okay, I understand 8)

I only wished that my posts could be smaller without tampering on the evidence. I could use some hints in how to report without filling the complete screen. It's not the work, but I understand why huge pages shouldn't be displayed here.

Btw, I'm sorry if my blabbermouthing puppet GodZillah comes reporting here ocasionally. I have strictly forbidden him to do that, but the lizzard doesn't respect me

Since you ask...

Use the [quote]-tag instead of the [code] tag. It's a tad smaller print and reads better because of the different font.

Something I've already seen you do on occasion: leave out the messageboard if it has no info related to the griefing, like when it's old.

Generally speaking, we can do a multi scan of a region fairly easily (depending on region size. However, this is done only when an experienced GM finds there to be sufficient evidence of multying.

Corinthe's posts are not endorsed by the Moderators, and it is actually preferred that she adhere to her own sig line and use the getting help page as opposed to posting here in the forums.

It was fun while it lasted. I have decided not to post this much about grievings in the Getting Help section, since I expect many people to do, and you would get many messages of only one griefing. It's better if natives report their own grieving, as I will do when it happens to me. Gotta find myself another occupation now :(

Corinthe, we appreciate the wealth of information you provide. Perhaps you could post a note in the Getting Help page and then I could contact you when we get to that specific tasking and ask you to email me screenshots...

We're not too keen on tipping off those breaking the rules by posting it in the public forums that they're under suspicion.

Knowing that they have been reported could make them go rampage, while thinking that they got away might make them sit back and relax. If a person knows he's gonna be deleted, he has nothing more to lose, right?

I'm glad when this ThanksGiving thing is over. 75% of the time I can't get into the forum, and the game is awfully sluggish
