New White Britain - if I see a repeat of this flame-baiting, you might just be looking to create a New Improved White Britain
TG, just wanted to say that I don't object to the thread being locked (it had turned into a load of crap anyway).
However, I would like to point out that I was NOT flame-baiting. I posted the thread for the attention of a specific person -- others entered the thread and started flaming me.
I didn't even flame them back in return. To put me at fault for that is wrong, and I don't think a warning is really justified.

However, being objective, you did use 'modalerts' unnecessarily and used way too many of them for things that did not require a mod.

Flaming such as they were doing does require the attention of a mod.

Having read the thread, I must concur that the mod alert s WERE justified in the face of personal insults levelled against him. I admit to being surprised that he received a warning for flame baiting, when I for one couldn't see any and I know MANY other who would have risen to the insults made against him!

I agree, Yarm's behaviour was at least as bad as yours. But posting a rebuttal of that sort was tempting fate. Please be aware that others might make use of the opportunity. For what it is worth, I consider Yarm to have flamed and will be bearing it in mind.

Well, yes you are probably right on that. I just got a bit tired of this certain person and his hypocrisy in his posts to me, and wanted to give a reply stating how he could get what he wanted. No doubt he has read the post and knows the score.

I have made an addition to the post I made on that thread to the effect that I consider both New White Britain and Yarm to have been acting equally irresponsibly, and advising them to be more careful in future. Hopefully, we can now move on.
