Question on national animals & swastikas
I am aware that it is against the rules of the site to use human beings as national animals when the terms describing them are racist or antisemitic. Is the use of humans, when described in other ways, eg. 'troskyites' or 'slaves' or 'nazis', also covered by this rule?
Similarly, I am aware that four-legged swastikas are banned from national flags. What is the policy regarding the use of the triskele or three legged swastika?
(It should probably be noted that the Isle of Man has one such symbol on its flag, but I am actually more interested in the ruling governing the three legged swastika as used by RL South African White Supremacists)

I'm not completly sure, but depending on the similarity to the actual swastika, the three legged swastika may be banned as well, and nazi as an animal is probably banned.

No, I think the Triskele is allowed...

Thank you for that valuable contribution.
Silence, nazi! A devote man with anti-government politics has suggested that I go to South Africa. I'd be glad to take you on directly when I go...

I am not aware of any written rule regarding three-legged swastikas.

Is it contrary to the rules of the site to have human beings, however described, as national animals?

Only if there is a clear derogatory slant. Blacks, jews and homosexuals, etc, as national animals, is an offence which should be reported through the Getting Help (http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/index.cgi/page=help) page.
Nothing is automatic about it, however. Each case is judged on its own merits.
What about commies being animals? They slaughtered 80 million citizens in Soviet Union. They deserve to be national animals.

If anyone chose to report it, it would go into a queue and then be judged on its own merits. If the Game Moderators' conclusions were to be unfavourable, the national animal would be changed to "animal" or similar. A further offence of a similar nature would most likely result in the deletion of the nation in question.

Is this the reason why South Africa chose the Springbok as its national animal?
Surely the national animal is a symbol of pride for a country?

It may be a symbol of pride, but also, as Christians, we are told to manage the earth and it's animals as it pleases us. Comparing the communists to an animal is also a symbol of subordinance.
