Didn't look at the spam (no link provided) so if it is bad spam, then makes sense.
Still, isn't the idea of such a thread to be rubbish? What is the topic, simply to see if you can post and be the ladt one to post. Unless it is signifigant, could be hard to pull out what is rubbish in there and what is not.
As to what is spam in there, that should be easier to pick out.
