I'm curious, but I had received a T-gram from Franco Spain two days ago:

I do not use this kind of language and I am not about to start taking it. If he does not like me, that's fine, but I do not need this while playing a game.

Accordingly, I told him that I did not approve of his language and he replied that "lying is more of a moral blemish than the occasional swear word."

Slackervania is correct: Abusive telegrams should be reported to the Getting Help (http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/index.cgi/page=help) page.

Do not delete the telegrams; the Game Mods will look into your telegram box to see the telegrams you are complaining about.

Now why would the person who is guilty of the far greater crime of spamming me and my endorsers every other day be the one who blows the whistle on my isolated name calling incident?

He's using a perfectly legitimate tactic.

Francos methods of ejection were legal, whereas spamming by telegram is not ;)

Where is the line in telegram spamming drawn, however? Negative propaganda campaigns are just politics, not illegal, as are messages opposing the regional government in the civil HQ, if the mod responses to similar complaints of my own in the past are any indication.

Also, propaganda messages in your inbox are not an assurance that all of your or Poskrebyshev's endorsers were telegrammed. Some propaganda campaigns are sent to small numbers of people at a time. Some are even individualized.

I suggest, if you do not, to save all inflammatory e-mails you may receive. At least save these for 10 days. Indefinitely, if you have the space.

Separately. Do not flame. It only hurts your position as someone who is disagreeable yet still plays the game by the rules AND it goes against game rules to counter those whom you take to be your opposition.

This is a game of politics. Aside from comments by LBJ, politicians generally fail when falling upon something as base as direct flaming. The art of Politic is more about selling an idea, and painting over your enemies within the rules.

I think it is incorrect to view spamming over flaming. If such a hierarchy existed, I believe you would be wrong. As is, there is no hierarchy. I would imagine all rule breaking is against the rules, and is prohibited.

As to spam.. it is permissible to send out telegrams for support, just not if they are script created OR for the purpose of cutting off information for the other party.

Depends on your politics. I agree with sending this via help page, but there is nothing wrong with actual debate in this thread.

As for the telegrams in which I was asking for support, there is no flaming and I am simply requesting individuals to drop their endorsements. This is not spam; this is politics. I know I never resorted to flaming from any of Francos Spain's T-grams nor any of the others in that regime. My only gripe about this whole thing is that I do not see the need to use this language. I think if we are playing this game, seeking political endorsements and asking for others to withdraw should be an acceptable part of it. It seems like Francos Spain wants me to just be quiet and not make an announcement at all, and thus it is acceptable for him to speak with profanity. What if I am just a kid? Is it still acceptable? I think not.

Actually, I probably asked you to drop your endorsement. I would never tell someone that they would be ejected. I did do some covert stuff but it was all on the Civil HQ. I never would have solicited for endorsements from Francos Spain. I am 100% sure that you are wrong about that.

Don't worry about it. I was not sarcastic in my previous comment. You were third on my Nation's list with the most endorsements, that raised some suspicion too, since everyone got ejected over 50. Let's drop it now. I am far too busy to bother myself with things that are not even my business. You're cool 8)

Thanks, no problem. I just didn't wish to be associated with Francos Spain, except as an adversary. My 70 endorsements ultimately led me to my demise, but at least I proved that it could be done! 8)

I just have to say thats actually odd. SOmeone said that same thing to be in a TG "full of sh*t" and I filled a mod report, got it taken care of. The system does work. :)

I'm not really that concerned about it at the moment. If he shows a pattern of doing it, that's when I'll start making a bigger statement. I understand that he's reported me for spamming (I'm a little confused as to his definition and NS's definition...) and no mod has contacted me concerning that. I assume that it has to be done often to be a concern by the mods.

I think he was wrong, but we all make mistakes. The lack of a repeat performance seems to show he feels the same way. Hopefully.
